What it feels like in Belgium.

Rabbi Avraham Gigi described the environment of fear in the Belgian capital since the city has been in lockdown following police terror raids across the country.

“There is a sense of fear in the streets, the Belgians understand that they too are targets of terror. Jews now pray in their homes [as opposed to at synagogues] and some of them are planning on emigrating,” Gigi said.He explained, “Since Shabbat the city has been paralyzed. The synagogues were closed, something which has not happened since World War Two. People are praying alone or are holding small minyanim [small prayer groups] at private homes. Schools and theaters are closed as are most large stores and public events are not permitted. We live in fear and wait for instructions from the police or the government.”

 

Gigi noted that the Belgian Jewish population is at 50,000 (25,000 in Brussels/18,000 in Antwerp), noting there has been a migration of Jews to Israel “as well as emigration to Canada and the US. People understand there is no future for Jews in Europe.”

In a statement released Tuesday, Rabbi Menachem Margolin, director of the European Jewish Association, said his organization “is determined to continue our work to ensure that the 3 million Jews who live on our continent can continue to command a safe home and to be able to freely and proudly identify themselves as Jews.”

How about the EU?

One of the major predictions of Larry is that the EU will self-destruct. Frankly, I did not see how. Now, there are forces that are beginning to drive these countries and may escalate in the future.

First it was Greece whose voters rebelled against the 'austerity' mandated by the Germans and the French. They are now joined by the Portuguese, where voters voted in a Leftist government opposed to austerity. The question is whether the govt will double cross the voters like the Greek govt did. The Portuguese politicians taking power had mentioned defaulting on their loans.

And to the East is Russia.
Will Russia go to war with Turkey? Frankly, I don't see the Visegrad group sticking with NATO.

Finally, England may vote to leave the EU.

War cycles heat up.

Right now, the cycles of war are heating up.


1. The Turkey-Russia embroglio. Russia has been bombing Assad's enemies, which includes some Turkomens is Syria. Turkey let it be known that it will not accept people related to the Turkish people be treated such. So, Turkey shot down a Russian fighter bomber as it crossed a spit of Turkish territory. To rub it in, the Turkomens machine-gunned the ejected pilots, killing one while he was descending. When the Russians sent rescue helicopters to rescue the pilots, the Turkomens shot one down with an American-made TOW missile. The Russians then dispatched the Moscow missile frigate to guard their planes and helicopters over the battle area (Lattakia province). The Turks are put on notice that any further shooting will be reciprocated. See how this is escalating? Now, Russia's Mediterranean fleet passes through the Bosporus. Will Turkey try to stop them? Will Russia the try to seize the Bosporus? Turkey is part of NATO and can invoke the NATO charter of defense. That is the recipe for war between NATO and Russia.


2. The Russia-Ukraine imbroglio.
Russia cut off gas deliveries to Ukraine, because the Ukrainians did not pay their gas bill. In turn, Ukraine issued a directive forbidding Russian planes to fly over Ukrainien territory. That cuts off Transnistria (an Eastern part of Moldova) from Russian support. You just know that Russia will do something. What?

Rush Limbaugh's contributions.

1. Description of the Drive-by-Media. The metaphor is apt. Like a bunch of gangsters, the Media descend on a story and when they achieved their goal of destroying something they do not like, or someone they do not like, they move on to destroy someone or something else.


2. The Limbaugh theorem. Some people wonder why Obama retains the allegiance of nearly 50% of the population. Rush provided the explanation. Obama pretends that he is not in charge, so that the results of his policies have nothing to do with him. Then he campaigns against the results that his policies cause.


Examples:
1. Obama was "shocked" at what went on at the VA. He was gonna find out about it. Of course, he did nothing;


2. Obama was shocked at the rise in health insurance premiums. You have guessed it. He was gonna find out about it. But, these increases are the product of Obamacare. And they are designed to bankrupt insurance companies and get people to accept a single payer system - total government control.


3. Obama gave orders to alter intelligence estimates about ISIS, so he could claim that ISIS is a JV team and that his strategy to control them is working. Yup, he was outraged when he heard that the intelligence estimates were altered due to political pressure. Yup, he is gonna get to the bottom of it.


And so on.

Obama gives in to pressure: some ISIS tankers bombed.

Even the Drive-by-Media became alarmed by Obama's tilt toward Islamists, so we began to see stories about just how Obama tilts toward Islamists:


1. The tilt to Iran and the path to atomic weapons;
2. Obama's refusal to deliver weapons to the Kurds fighting ISIS;
3. Obama's calling for Muslin refugees to be settled in the US, knowing that a fair number are terrorists and approve of terrorism;
4. The stories about how Obama refuses to read intelligence reports about Islamists;
5. The stories about how Obama's henchmen used pressure to alter intelligence reports about ISIS. Based on those altered reports, ISIS was allowed to expand in Iraq;
6. There are even stories of the US aiding ISIS.


The Obama regime then gave orders to bomb a few ISIS tanker trucks that carry oil, so they can claim to fight ISIS.

Issues.

1. Gita Gopinath on the effects of raising interest rates.
Dr Gopinath argues that raising interest rates will produce little inflation in the US, whereas other countries will be not so lucky. Why? Because international trade is invoiced in US Dollars and prices are fixed for about 10 months. So, if the rising interest rate in the US drives up the value of the Dollar, the resulting inflation rate will NOT be passed through into prices right away, whereas in other countries prices will rise. I think she is wrong. The market value of the US Dollar has risen sharply in anticipation of rising interest rates and political tensions. The rise in the price of the Dollar has been accompanied by a fall in commodity prices, causing deflation. Will the rise in interest rates exaggerate the problem? No, says Larry Edelson. He claims that from now on the war cycles will be driving commodity prices up.


2. Why Obama wants to cut down the US.
Barak Hussein Obama, along with other Leftists, hates the United States. He believes that the US was conceived in racism, sexism and homophobia and has become wealthy at the expense of other countries. Therefore, Obama believes, the US must be cut down to size to restore fairness. Obama believes that he is being thwarted in his goals by white voters, so he is doing everything he can to reshape the country's population. That is why he opened up the borders and lets in Central Americans - they vote for Democrats. That is why he is importing Muslims. They also vote for Democrats. If these groups cause violent flareups, that is just too bad.


3. Why does the GOP allow this to happen?
In part because the US Chamber of Commerce wants lots of Latinos to repress wages. But, the GOP is fearful that opposing the Latinization of America would turn the Media against them. Of course the Media hates them already. There is one more factor. There is plenty of grounds to impeach Obama and remore him from office. But! Blacks would torch the cities and create havoc. Besides, the GOP believes, what can Obama do in a year? Unfortunately, a lot.

U.S. Military Pilots Provide Solid Proof That Obama Is Helping ISIS… Here’s What They’re Saying

Providing yet another piece of evidence that President Barack Obama is shielding the Islamic State group from destruction by American forces, the chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee told the Washington Free Beacon that U.S. military pilots have confirmed 75 percent of missions against the group have returned with their ordnance because they couldn’t get clearance to fire.

Rep. Ed Royce, R-Calif., said that an Obama administration policy not to strike if there’s any risk of collateral damage had led to the 75 percent no-fire rate, which has led to the growth of the Islamic State group across Syria and Ira

“You went 12 full months while ISIS was on the march without the U.S. using that air power and now as the pilots come back to talk to us they say three-quarters of our ordnance we can’t drop, we can’t get clearance even when we have a clear target in front of us,” Royce said.

“I don’t understand this strategy at all because this is what has allowed ISIS the advantage and ability to recruit.”

Retired four-star Army Gen. Jack Keane agreed with Royce’s assessment.

 

“This has been an absurdity from the beginning,” Gen. Keane said. “The president personally made a statement that has driven air power from the inception.”

“When we agreed we were going to do air power and the military said, this is how it would work, he (Obama) said, ‘No, I do not want any civilian casualties,’” Keane said. “And the response was, ‘But there’s always some civilian casualties. We have the best capability in the world to protect from civilians casualties.’”

“No, you don’t understand. I want no civilian casualties. Zero,” Obama allegedly demanded.

Of course, Obama now has over 130 civilian casualties on his hands in one French city alone, along with countless civilian casualties from an Islamic State group that’s been thriving in the absence of any serious military challenge from the United States military.

However, unlike Obama, the French seem to get it.

“Believe me,” Keane said, “the French are in there not using the restrictions we have imposed on our pilots.”

It almost makes one think that Barack Obama wants the Islamic State group to win.

AJ adds: ISIS derives income from selling oil, about $1.8M/day. Without that income ISIS would crumble and become a real JV team. But, Obama has forbidden taking out the tankers on the excuse that they are driven by civilians.
