There is an article in Seeking Alpha about the proposal to audit the FED:

The Author of the article calls proponents of the audit dumb.. Why not then let the FED be audited and let the proponents of the audit end up with egg on their faces? Is it that the gold the FED claims is safely tucked away is in fact not there? Heve they lent it to continue the price suppression scheme?
