Is the EU disintegrating?

Some, like Larry Edelson, have maintained from the getgo that the EU is ill-conceived and bound to fail. The reason for these predictions had to do with economics; the eventual failure of Socialism in any form. To be sure, the EU's welfare states are built on debt and unsustainable debt, that has led to stagnation. It is not the economic stagnation though that is tearing the EU apart but what Europe's leaders are trying to do about it; namely, opening their borders to a flow of migrants who are not skilled, not European and who have no intention of becoming Europeans. There is political as well as economic backlash against the idiocy of European leaders and it is this backlash that is hastening the disintegration of the EU.

In a way, the European failure of the elites parallels the failure of our own elites in importing low-skilled people to whom a welfare state is a big improvement. In the end, the welfare state always fails, it is just a matter of time.
