The story of the talking dog.

A guy is driving around the back woods and sees a sign in front of a broken down shanty-style house: 'Talking Dog For Sale '

He rings the bell and the owner appears and tells him the dog is in the backyard.

The guy goes into the backyard and sees a nice looking Labrador retriever sitting there.

        'You talk?' he asks.

'Yep,' the Lab replies.

After the guy recovers from the shock of hearing a dog talk, he says 'So, what's your story?'

The Lab looks up and says, 'Well, I discovered that I could talk when I was pretty young. I wanted to help the government, so... I told the CIA.

In no time at all they had me jetting from country to country, sitting in rooms with spies and world leaders, because no one figured a dog would be eavesdropping.'

'I was one of their most valuable spies for eight years running...

But the jetting around really tired me out, and I knew I wasn't getting any younger so I decided to settle down. I signed up for a job at the airport to do some undercover security, wandering near suspicious characters and listening in. I uncovered some incredible dealings and was awarded a batch of medals.'

'I got married, had a mess of puppies, and now I'm just retired.'

The guy is amazed. He goes back in and asks the owner what he wants for the dog.

'Ten dollars,' the guy says.

'Ten dollars? This dog is amazing! Why on earth are you selling him so cheap?'

'Because he's a Bullshitter.  He's never been out of the yard

History of background checks.

Gun control advocates want to eliminate privately owned guns. Their first goal is to slow down gun purchases, then to have guns registered and then to have them confiscated.

History of Background Checks
Until 1988, when gun control supporters started calling for a ban on “assault weapons,” they had tried to get a ban on handguns.[30]In 1976, the anti-gun group now known as the Brady Campaign described handgun registration as the second step in a three-step plan to prohibit the private possession of handguns.[31] The first part of its plan was to slow down handgun sales, and for many years it hoped to do so by having handgun purchases subjected to a waiting period and other restrictions.
For example, legislation introduced in Congress by the late Sen. Edward Kennedy (D-Mass.) and the late Rep. Peter Rodino (D-N.J.) proposed a 21-day waiting period on purchases of handguns from dealers, limiting handgun purchases to two per year, requiring a permit to acquire a handgun from a dealer, prohibiting the manufacture and sale of handguns not deemed suitable for or readily adaptable to sporting purposes, and imposing a $500 annual licensing fee on dealers who sold handguns.[32]
In the 1980s, when the Brady Campaign was known as Handgun Control, Inc., it continued to support waiting period legislation to slow down handgun sales, and opposed the establishment of NICS.[33] In 1993, Congress approved the Brady Act, which imposed a waiting period of up to five days on handgun purchases from dealers until November 30, 1998, at which time it required NICS checks for all firearms sold by dealers. Gun control supporters opposed the NICS provision.
Once NICS was inevitable, gun control supporters began advocating steps aimed at incrementally transforming it into a national registry of guns, something they’ve wanted for more than a century.[34] At first, they wanted background checks on all private (i.e., non-licensee) sales, trades and gifts of handguns.[35] Then they wanted background checks on private transfers of all guns at gun shows.[36]
In 1996, a tiny group that still advocates banning handguns and other categories of firearms claimed that gun shows were a “favored venue” for criminals seeking to acquire guns.[37] To drive gun shows out of business, the group proposed that sales of handguns and “assault weapons” (which together account for the majority of guns sold at shows and elsewhere) and firearms regulated under the National Firearms Act be prohibited at shows.[38]
By the time that NICS became operational in November 1998, gun control supporters had realized that, through a series of steps, they might be able to use the system to achieve gun registration. In 1999, the late-Sen. Frank Lautenberg (D-N.J.), a longtime gun control supporter, introduced legislation to require a NICS check on anyone who bought a gun at a gun show.[39] In 2009, Lautenberg proposed that the FBI retain, indefinitely, records of people who pass NICS checks to acquire guns.[40]
Since December 2012, gun control supporters have “demanded”[41] background checks on all private transfers of all firearms, regardless of location. And in 2013, Rep. Barbara Lee (D-Calif.) introduced legislation to eliminate the requirement that the FBI destroy the records of approved NICS checks within 24 hours.[xlii]Also in 2013, the Department of Justice said that background checks on all firearm transfers “depends on . . . requiring gun registration.”[xliii]NICS would become a registry of firearm transfers if all firearms transfers were subject to NICS checks and the FBI retained records of approved checks indefinitely, both of which gun control supporters have proposed, and such records included information currently maintained on federal Form 4473, documenting the identity of the firearm purchaser and the make, model and serial number of the firearm transferred. Over time, as people sell or bequeath their firearms, a registry of firearm transfers would become a registry of firearms possessed.

Federal gun laws are already strong enough.

Federal gun control laws are already strong enough
In addition to requiring firearm dealers, manufacturers, and importers to initiate a background check on any non-licensee to whom they intend to transfer a firearm, and prohibiting the possession of firearms by nine categories of prohibited persons,[29] federal law already prohibits things associated with what gun control supporters call “online” or “internet” firearm sales. While a person may advertise a firearm on the internet:
  • Federal law prohibits transferring a firearm to anyone known or believed to be prohibited from possessing firearms. (18 USC992(d))
  • Federal law prohibits a non-licensee from acquiring a handgun outside his state of residence and prohibits a non-licensee from acquiring a rifle or shotgun from a non-licensee outside his state of residence. (18 USC 992(a)(3))
  • Federal law prohibits anyone from transferring a handgun to a non-licensee who resides in another state (with rare exceptions), and prohibits a non-licensee from transferring any firearm to a non-licensee who resides in another state. (18 USC 922(a)(5))
  • Federal law prohibits the acquisition of a firearm on behalf of a person who is prohibited from possessing firearms. (18 USC 922(h) and 922(a)(6))
  • Federal law prohibits anyone from providing a handgun to a juvenile (person under age 18), and prohibits juveniles from possessing handguns, with limited exceptions. (18 USC 922(x))
  • Federal law also prohibits dealers from selling rifles or shotguns to persons under age 18. (18 USC 922(b)(1))

The importance of the Second Amendment.

The loss of children or any innocent people is a horrific tragedy, the causes and solutions are deeper than one issue

I do not know who Robert Goltl who posted this is but his numbers look plausible  as far as putting things into perspective.

There are 30,000 gun related deaths per year by firearms, and this number is not disputed. U.S. population 324,059,091 as of Wednesday, June 22, 2016. Do the math: 0.000000925% of the population dies from gun related actions each year. Statistically speaking, this is insignificant! What is never told, however, is a breakdown of those 30,000 deaths, to put them in perspective as compared to other causes of death:

• 65% of those deaths are by suicide which would never be prevented by gun laws
• 15% are by law enforcement in the line of duty and justified
• 17% are through criminal activity, gang and drug related or mentally ill persons – gun violence
• 3% are accidental discharge deaths

So technically, "gun violence" is not 30,000 annually, but drops to 5,100. Still too many? Well, first, how are those deaths spanned across the nation?
• 480 homicides (9.4%) were in Chicago
• 344 homicides (6.7%) were in Baltimore
• 333 homicides (6.5%) were in Detroit
• 119 homicides (2.3%) were in Washington D.C. (a 54% increase over prior years)

So basically, 25% of all gun crime happens in just 4 cities. All 4 of those cities have strict gun laws, so it is not the lack of law that is the root cause.

This basically leaves 3,825 for the entire rest of the nation, or about 75 deaths per state. That is an average because some States have much higher rates than others. For example, California had 1,169 and Alabama had 1.

Now, who has the strictest gun laws by far? California, of course, but understand, so it is not guns causing this. It is a crime rate spawned by the number of criminal persons residing in those cities and states. So if all cities and states are not created equally, then there must be something other than the tool causing the gun deaths.

Are 5,100 deaths per year horrific? How about in comparison to other deaths? All death is sad and especially so when it is in the commission of a crime but that is the nature of crime. Robbery, death, rape, assault all is done by criminals and thinking that criminals will obey laws is ludicrous. That's why they are criminals.

But what about other deaths each year?
• 40,000+ die from a drug overdose–THERE IS NO EXCUSE FOR THAT!
• 36,000 people die per year from the flu, far exceeding the criminal gun deaths
• 34,000 people die per year in traffic fatalities(exceeding gun deaths even if you include suicide)

Now it gets interesting:
• 200,000+ people die each year (and growing) from preventable medical errors. You are safer in Chicago than when you are in a hospital!

• 710,000 people die per year from heart disease. It’s time to stop the double cheeseburgers! So what is the point? If Obama and the anti-gun movement focused their attention on heart disease, even a 10% decrease in cardiac deaths would save twice the number of lives annually of all gun-related deaths (including suicide, law enforcement, etc.). A 10% reduction in medical errors would be 66% of the total gun deaths or 4 times the number of criminal homicides......Simple, easily preventable 10% reductions!

So you have to ask yourself, in the grand scheme of things, why the focus on guns? It's pretty simple.:
Taking away guns gives control to governments.

The founders of this nation knew that regardless of the form of government, those in power may become corrupt and seek to rule as the British did by trying to disarm the populace of the colonies. It is not difficult to understand that a disarmed populace is a controlled populace.

Thus, the second amendment was proudly and boldly included in the U.S. Constitution. Without the Second Amendment the rest can not be defended and thus become meaningless. It must be preserved.

Yes, black lives do matter.

 ANALYSIS/OPINION:

I know of no white person alive today in the United States who has

ever legally owned a black slave, or any slave for that matter.

Almost 700,000 mostly white men died 160 years ago to end slavery.

Jim Crow ended generations ago. Yet black America, for the most part,

is still locked in inner-city gang violence and economic hardship. Why?

Is it because America is racist?  Is it because of some overhanging

white supremacy?  Is it because of the Illuminati?

No, unfortunately, it is because of black culture and the adoption of

 Democratic Party government dependency.

We have just had eight years of the first black president.  Black

athletes, and entertainers, routinely earn multi-million dollar incomes.

I can easily name several black billionaires without even trying too

hard. A large percentage of black America is very successful. But, it

is not enough. Too many black youth are being left behind.

And it is no one but black America’s fault.

No one can solve this problem but black America.  No one can throw

enough money at it.  We’ve tried that.  Black America needs to look

in the mirror and stop blaming others, especially white people.

I am obviously white and conservative, and I served in the military,

which, during my time, was as color blind as you could be. I can also

honestly say I don’t give a damn what color your skin is, neither do

any of my friends.  I do care about your actions.

Blacks are around 15 percent of the population. Depending on what

study you look at, they commit around 40 percent to 50 percent of

violent crime in America Of course, there is going to be a problem

with police.  And, of course, there are some bad policemen. However,

those bad apples do not kill black people statistically anymore than they kill white people.

Even Harvard said that recently. If you were a cop, and you had to

work in a neighborhood infested with crime and murder, wouldn’t you

act differently than in a neighborhood where there was little crime?

The most effective thing black America could do to improve its

relationship with police is to significantly reduce violent crime

where they live.  Yes, that means change the culture of where you live and your community.

I for one am tired of being blamed.  I am tired of dealing with

people who only want something from others.  I don’t oppress anyone.

I don’t hold anyone down.  I’m tired of getting on the D.C. metro and

seeing white people being harassed by roaming gangs of black youth

with their pants around their knees.  Yes, you want a white person uncomfortable?

That makes me uncomfortable.  It’s our nation’s capital and it’s

 embarrassing.

Blacks have nothing but opportunity in America.  Try finding the same

opportunity anywhere else in the world.  If you are born in America

you’ve won life’s economic lottery.  Take advantage of it.

The problem is this generation has been taught an agenda of cultural

Marxism by our education system.  They’ve been taught to be a victim,

and it’s still going on.  All you have to do is watch the young

black, female student at Yale screaming at the college president to understand that.

Blacks in America don’t even know how good they got it.

Don’t kneel when my anthem is played.  Too many people died for that

flag.  You are free to protest but not then.  I am free to not watch,

or pay to watch you play if you do that.  The NFL should make it a

rule that you stand for the national anthem.  There is no free speech

to disobey a private employer on private property.  This would solve

 the problem immediately.

The NFL has deeply offended most of America.  They will pay an

economic and reputational price, as they should.

We have a real cultural problem in this country, the result of the

Leftist multicultural agenda.  Multi-ethnicity is perfect and should

be encouraged.  Having more than one American culture is destroying

the country.  But then again, that is what the Left wants.

 Do Black Lives Matter?

It is your job to determine if this is a racist rant or just a review

 of factual data...

WHAT IF ALL THE BLACKS SUDDENLY LEFT AMERICA, WHICH IS 13.3% OF THE

 TOTAL

 U.S.POPULATION:

Amount of people in poverty would drop - 34%, The prison population

would go down by -37%, Welfare recipients would go down by - - - 42%,

Gang members would go down by - - - - - 53% Chlamydia cases would go

 down - - - - - - 54%, Homelessness would go down - - - - - - - -57%

 Syphilis would go down  - - - - - - - - - - - - 58%.

 AIDS & HIV would go down by - - - - - - - -65%, Gonorrhea would go

 down - - - - - - - - - - -69%, Average ACT scores would go UP - - - -

 5.5 points.

 Average IQ would go UP - - - - - - - - - - - -7.4 points,  putting us

3rd in the world tied with Japan, Average SAT scores would go UP

almost - - - - -100 points, The average income for Americans would go

 UP over $20,000 a year,

BUT DEMOCRATS WOULD LOSE 76% OF THEIR VOTING BASE!!!

And, many criminal defense attorneys would have to find another line

 of work!

 Yes, Black lives DO matter!

AJ adds: You doubt that black culture is responsible? The Oakland Urban Leage had done a study and found that the IQ of recent black immigrants was way above the IQ of blacks who were born here.

The truth about murders and rifles.

republished from another site.

Everyone should agree to ban AR-15s. That was the conclusion of a recent article in the Atlantic magazine by a radiologist who was shocked by the bodily damage revealed in a CT scan of one of the victims of the mass murder at Florida’s Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School.
The first tip-off that this was an emotion-driven, rather than fact-based argument was that this expert doctor admitted he had seen a grand total of two wounds with that “specific pattern of injury” in his entire medical experience.
The second tip-off that he doesn’t know what he’s talking about was his foolish – and wrong – claim: “AR-15 rifles is the common denominator in many mass shootings.”
The cold, hard facts from the FBI, sans emotive hand-wringing, are that rifles of any type are one of the least-used murder weapons in the U.S. The vast majority of U.S. murders are committed with handguns, not rifles.
As Sean Davis reports in the Federalist, the FBI says only 2.2 percent of murders in the U.S. over the last five years were committed with rifles. And the AR-15 amounted to only a fraction of the 2.2 percent.
In fact, shotguns accounted for 2.1 percent of murders. Shall we ban them too?
But wait. That’s not all. Knives were used in 11.9 percent of all murders. That’s five times more than all rifles.
In fact, more people are killed by hands, fists or feet (5.1 percent) than with all types of rifles, let alone AR-15s. No one will propose banning hands, fists and feet. It’s already illegal to use them that way.
If all rifles were outlawed, it might stop a tiny fraction of murders, or not, but it certainly wouldn’t keep lawbreakers from obtaining the banned rifles. That’s why we call them lawbreakers.
Why hasn’t it occurred to this doctor and the Left’s wannabe gun banners that they could save far more lives by outlawing knives? Because it would be ridiculous. Just like banning AR-15s.
Obviously, even banning all rifles would not “drastically reduce the incidence of mass murders,” as this ill-informed doctor contends. But hey, why worry about facts when emotions are in play?
As wiser, if less emotional, people note every time there’s a mass shooting, “Evil cannot be regulated away.”
Someone intent on murder, and on murder on a large scale, will not be deterred by laws or by bans. Notice the acid attacks and vehicular slaughter in Europe where guns are heavily restricted. And, oh yeah, they still use illegally obtained guns there too.
The admittedly pro-gun website, Extrano’s Alley, notes that the percentage of criminals who legally buy a gun and commit a crime with it is probably “a fraction of one percent of those who commit a gun-related crime.”
“[T]he overwhelming majority of professional criminals will use stolen ‘street guns’ that are cheap but very definitely illegal.”
Repeated studies indicate only 6 to 8 percent of all murders are committed with weapons legally purchased by the killer, bought from dealers after filling out extensive paperwork, providing identification and submitting to FBI background checks. Most of those murders are domestic violence, crimes of passion or committed by insane people.
Professional criminals, who account for the other 90 percent-plus, buy their guns on the street avoiding the legal niceties.
If you want to look for commonality in the reason these murderers murder, look at their upbringing, who they associate with, their family life or lack of it. Or as Ron Paul points out, “at least ten high profile mass shootings have been committed by individuals who ‘were either on — or just recently coming off of — psychiatric medications.’ The young killer in Florida was no different. According to his aunt, he had been on these medications to treat mental problems.”
Next you might want to check for what these murderers don’t have. Ask how many of them were professing Christians?
Finally, for those who think it’s America’s cowboy gun culture that’s the culprit, think again. Wait just a minute, you might protest, aren’t there are about 33,000 gun deaths a year in the U.S.?
But more than two-thirds of those are suicides and accidents, not murders. In 2011, of the 8,583 actual gun murders, a scant 323 were committed with all varieties of rifles, including bolt-action and hunting rifles.
That’s 323 in a nation of 326,000,000. Even then, only a fraction of the 323 were committed with what wannabe gun banners call “assault rifles.”
An editorial in Investor’s Business Daily reports: “…. a study of global mass-shooting incidents from 2009 to 2015 by the Crime Prevention Research Center, headed by economist John Lott, shows the U.S. doesn’t lead the world in mass shootings.”
Got that? The U.S. doesn’t lead the world.
“In fact, it doesn’t even make the top 10, when measured by death rate per million population from mass public shootings,” the editorial notes.
Norway leads the world with a mass shooting death rate of 1.888 per million. No. 2 is Serbia, at 0.381, followed by France, Macedonia, Albania, Slovakia, Finland, Belgium and Czech Republic follow. All of them among the Left’s European darlings.
The U.S. comes in at No. 11, with a death rate of 0.089.
To top it off, there were also 27% more casualties from 2009 to 2015 per mass shooting incident in the European Union than in the U.S. Allow me to reiterate: The U.S. DOESN’T lead the world.
But in 2016 didn’t Barack Obama tearfully complain that “we are the only advanced country on Earth that sees this kind of mass violence erupt with this kind of frequency. It doesn’t happen in other advanced countries. It’s not even close.”
Are you surprised he was wrong? Do you think he was misinformed? Or do you suspect he intended to misinform you? Why would he do that? But why do some people insist “AR-15 rifles is the common denominator in many mass shootings”? In both cases the appeal was emotional – and the facts wrong.
Bottom line: government bans and restrictions on guns (see those European darlings) won’t change what’s wrong with the hearts and minds of vicious evil doers determined to commit murder. Until those hearts are changed, the best defense is to be armed. Virtually no mass murders with any type of weapon are committed in places where the targets are armed. Evil doers are not crazy. They don’t go hunting where they have reason to believe they will be killed in self-defense by their intended “victims.”
Arm school guards and teachers with guns, and teach them to use them. Then post this notice on the marquee and on every classroom door: “We are armed for self-defense.” It’s guaranteed to dissuade mass murderers who will go elsewhere to find a gun-free zone.

Interview with SNOW QUEEN Ester Ledecka.

Every Olympics has a story that stands out among the many stories of hard work and the achievement that follows or does not follow. This Olympics we have the story of Ester Ledecka. You see, she has a gold in snowboarding AND skiing on the downhill.

According to the experts, the two events are mutually exclusive. If you are a snow boarder, you leave skiing alone and vice versa. So, in the lineup of skiers, Ledecka was left to last among the skiers. No one expected that her performance would matter; after all she was a snow boarder even if she had a gold medal in that sport (do we detect a tad bit of snobbery here?). When she finished, her time stood on top of the board with the smallest of margin one hundredth of a second. She stood dumb founded, thinking that the time was a mistake, soon to be corrected. The audience stood still also. The time stood up and the celebration began. A new Olympic champion. She did the first interview with her goggles on. She did not expect to be on the podium so she did not have makeup on.

Contrast this to the story of Lesley Vonn. She has Anti Trump Delusion Syndrome and boasted that as a gold medalist she would not accept an invitation to the White House. She finished sixth in the same event. Made two mistakes: one on the slopes.

Here is one of the interviews with Ledecka:

The shame of Broward County, Florida.

AJ begins.

The "TOWN HALL" production staged by CNN reminds one of the crowds in the French revolution, being riled up by agitators. It was staged to attack the NRA and shift the blame to them for the massacre at Stoneman Douglas High School. The facts are coming out in spite of CNN and the Media trying to shift the blame. Sheriff Israel and his deputies have failed to perform their duties. In the land of the 'hanging chad' you can not count on the Sheriff's Dept. There were as many as four Deputies who failed to go into the school and neutralize the perp. Here are the thoughts of a private citizen who urges that this disgraced Sheriff resign.

from the PatriotReport.com

"Over the last week, I’ve been having a bit of a tough time Lupus-wise. And it’s hard not to get all kinds of discouraged.
Last night, as I was feeling particularly sorry for myself, I went on the Internet and discovered that the “school resource officer” assigned to protect the students at Stoneman Douglas High School didn’t do his job.
Instead of entering the school and engaging the suspect, he stayed outside while children inside were being slaughtered.
And suddenly I felt like a creep for feeling sorry for myself.
I imagined the families of those killed and the anguish they’ve experienced over the last week.
How must they feel when each new revelation of the flagrant malpractice of the Broward County Sheriff’s department is revealed?
If we’re furious over this latest bit of news, just imagine how the families of the dead must feel right now.
And every time I think of that arrogant Sheriff Israel sitting on that stage during CNN’s show trial pointing an accusing finger at Dana Loesch and the NRA … it infuriates me all the more.
When Sheriff Israel told reporters that this deputy failed to engage the murderer – or even enter the freaking building – he had the unmitigated gall to say that he was “devastated. Sick to my stomach. There are no words.”
And yet the night before, he sat on that stage riling up the crowd and implicating Dana Loesch and the NRA in this mass murder.
What a despicable man.
In fact, he was so proud of his sham performance, he sent out this shameless and disgusting tweet afterward:

Broward Sheriff

@browardsheriff

“You are NOT standing up for these students.” - Sheriff Israel to @NRA spokeswoman.
Jake Tapper

@jaketapper

This is horrific. “In November, a tipster called BSO to say Cruz ‘could be a school shooter in the making’ but deputies did not write up a report on that warning. It came just weeks after a relative called urging BSO to seize his weapons.” https://twitter.com/jaketapper/status/966853104179273729

Sheriff Israel should resign post haste.
Not only did he fail to protect these children; he then chose to politicize their deaths to attack a civil rights organization that had nothing to do with the tragedy.
But the truth is, this isn’t just incompetence.
Too many red flags either ignored or downplayed led to the deaths of seventeen people. And what’s worse, they were ignored on purpose.
As Sundance over at The Conservative Treehouse points out, this wasn’t a case of mistakes being made or the Sheriff missing warning signs. It is a direct result of policy.
It is important to understand the policy here. Broward County law enforcement (Sheriff Israel), in conjunction with Broward County School Officials (Superintendent Runcie and School Board), have a standing policy to ignore any criminal engagement with High School students.
When the police are hiding current, actual and ongoing unlawful conduct as a matter of standard procedure on a regular basis, what do we expect the police would do with reports of potential unlawful conduct? Of course they would ignore them.
And the fact that this Sheriff knew all that when he sat on that stage Wednesday night riling up the crowd to attack Dana Loesch is nothing short of contemptable.
My guess is that Sheriff Israel is using this deputy as a scapegoat – maybe in hopes that nobody look any deeper into this craven policy to ignore criminal behavior in Broward County schools.
Don’t get me wrong. This “school resource officer” should be held accountable.
But the truth is, so should Sheriff Scott Israel.
And so too should Broward County Superintendent Robert Runcie.

Mystery of the Russian "doper."

Before the fall of the Soviet Union, members of the Soviet bloc (and even the satellites) used to keep their best athletes in "sport brigades" in the armed forces. Essentially, they were professional athletes.
For awhile, Western athletes had to conform to being "amateurs." After the fall of the Soviet Union the rules were changed: professional athletes from the West could compete  and this evened the playing field. But the desire to excel pushed some athletes to cheat. Various forms of practices were tried. The IOC banned certain chemicals and the use of blood transfusion to enhance performance.

It is alleged that the Russians engaged in wide-spread use of banned substances in the Winter Olympics held in Sochi and the IOC considered banning Russia from PyeongChang this year. After testing Russian athletes those who were found clean could compete but they had to enter the stadium under an Olympic flag.

OK. Now comes the case of Alexander Krushelnitsky, a bronze medal winner in mixed doubles in CURLING. He tested positive for meldonium and was stripped of his medal. The IOC now is considering further punishment for Russia of not being able to march in under the Russian flag at the closing ceremonies.

Here are the effects of meldonium:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Meldonium

The chief effects are to increase blood flow to the heart and switch from fatty acid metabolism to metabolizing glucose. The drug is used to treat diabetics who have heart problems. Skiers and speed skaters may benefit from using this drug, but not curlers. So, how did this drug got into the urine of Mr Krushelnitsky? He blames a rival. I wonder. The Deep State and the Media are out there beating the anti-Russia drums and the Russians are not models of honesty. If he were a speed skater, I would not hesitate to accept the IOC story. But he is a curler. So, the truth will have to wait to make is presence clear.

Florida Republicans losing their nerve to do right thing.

Florida Scuttles Legislation That Could Actually Stop School Shootings

Emotions and empty platitudes have long been the field on which the anti-Second Amendment gun control crowd plays. And with wicked murders last week at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Fla., emotions are sky high — and that is usually bad for sound policy.
The emotions have brought out the predictable platitudes from the left-wing, including the insufferable John Kasich, about “common sense” gun legislation and “time to put aside our differences” and “standing up to the NRA.” Every one of those simply means: Do we what we say.
But now, the anti-gun agitators have taken the profound grief of young people and are using it as another tool for their agenda. The Parkland teens did not organize their protests on their own around the state and nation and their rally in Tallahassee as legislators were meeting. In fact, we now know that the same organizations behind the Women’s March are the ones organizing and funding these marches.
There is nothing grass roots there, just exploitative deep pockets from the left. Sheriff David Clarke sees on Twitter the destabilizing hand of George Soros in them, which would fit with the Women’s March.
And the media is broadcasting the times and dates of the marches like they are public service announcements, without an ounce of scrutiny.

All of this political fallout from the evil murders at the high school came during the Florida Legislature’s annual nine-week session.
And so, bowing to the emotions, platitudes and timing, some of the most fearless defenders of gun rights and reasoned thinking on the issue have pulled the only legislation that might actually have an impact on saving lives.
Senate Judiciary Chairman Greg Steube, a Sarasota Republican, has withdrawn legislation his committee was set to vote on that would have lifted the gun-free zones on schools and allowed school districts, with local discretion, to designate a concealed weapons permit holder to carry a gun on campus. Steube has worked tirelessly to allow similar gun laws on Florida colleges and in schools in previous years to help young people defend themselves from wicked rampagers. Generally, those did not make it out of committee.
This year was different with Steube chairing the committee and having apparent support for this legislation.
But the bill’s sponsor, Sen. Dennis Baxley, an Ocala Republican, said the timing was now wrong for holding a debate over what critics label an expansion of gun rights in Florida.
The Sarasota Herald-Tribune reported:
“I don’t think we’re ready for that discussion right now,” Baxley said. “I’m trying to solve a problem. Having a school as a gun-free zone, while well intentioned, makes it a sterile target. That would change if there was armed resistance.”
Baxley has another bill set to go Wednesday before the full Senate that would allow people to carry their concealed weapons to church, even if there was a school on the grounds. He said Monday that was still scheduled for debate.
“But whether it is brought up, is going to be up to leadership,” Baxley said.
And thus died the most reasonable, Constitutional steps that government could take to limit these shootings, once again demonstrating the axiom that liberals end up damaging the most, the very people they claim to want to help.

Baltimoron humor.

Two friends are texting each other. One writes 'I saw a bumper sticker in Florida that said "I MISS BALTIMORE"

'So what u did?' the other asks.

'I broke his front window, ripped out his radio and left him a note.'

??

'I HOPE DIS HELPS.'

Why Liberals actively sabotage school safety.

We know what it takes to secure our schools. Just as in planes we have federal marshals, trained to carry concealed weapons and be ready to put down a perp, Israeli schools are made safe by trained security personnel. Yet we do not have them in this country. Why not? Because every time they are proposed, they are shouted down by Liberals.

Why do Liberals object to instituting measures that like in Israel would make our schools safe? Because Liberals want to disarm us and that effort needs mass shootings, especially school shootings. Having made schools gun-free zones assures perps an opportunity to carry out mass murder. All they have to do is sneak into the school with guns and they can operate until the swat team arrives. That is then followed by Media personnel put on an anti gun show. Lately, the Media is enlisting students to demonstrate for the Liberal, anti-gun cause. But, demonstrating against guns is futile. I have yet to see a gun walk into a place and start shooting.

Mueller's ploy - continue the anti-Trump crusade on no evidence.

Over a year and a half the Obama regime had "investigated" (i. e. spied upon) the Trump campaign and the Trump Presidency. The object was clearly to prevent Trump from becoming President at first and then to prevent him from functioning as President. The culprits include the 'Deep State' and the Media. The culprits and the Hillary campaign developed the talking point (called insurance by some in the Deep State) that the loss of Hillary was due to interference from Russia and its collaboration with the Trump campaign.

Mueller investigated for a year and found zero, zilch evidence of what the Media claimed; i.e. a cooperation between the Russians and the Trump campaign. So, the conspirators are changing the talking point. This was announced by Rod Rosenstein of the DOJ in the form of an indictment of Russians close to Vladimir Putin.

This is a camouflage for Mueller to continue his anti-Trump crusade, to continue "investigating" and charging former members of the Trump campaign with crimes irrelevant to the election and maintain the fiction that Trump was elected illegitimately.

The Rosenstein announcement claimed that there was an organized Russian effort on behalf of Trump which did not change the outcome of the election nor was this effort receiving cooperation knowingly from US citizens.

Two things are obvious: 1. the new strategy allows the conspirators to claim interference without having to prove it. The people named by Rosenstein will not appear in an American court where the evidence can be disclosed and the accusers cross examined. 2. The device of the indictment allows the Democrats to continue claiming that Trump was elected illegitimately. It also allows the Mueller cabal of anti-Trump staff members to persecute Trump associates by trying to entrap them in giving false/mistaken testimony.

Ask yourself the question: what would the Russians get out of trying to elect Trump? They had secured Hillary's cooperation in selling 20% of America's source of uranium to Russia for a "donation" of about $150 million to the Clinton slush fund. Russia is no longer pushing Socialism so why bother to set up an ineffective operation? Remember that the Deep State has the ability to run a computer operation and plant a false  flag of who done it.

Another objective of the Deep State is to protect Obama. What did he know and when? We know that Obama and Hillary exchanged emails on Hillary's illegal server. Did Obama also know about the anti-Trump conspiracy as well?

Stock, Dollar and Gold. Prognastications.

Is a New Gold Bull Market on the Horizon?

A read of the gold charts is indicating that a breakout and new bull market are simply a matter of time, says technical analyst Clive Maund.
Gold 8-Year Chart
Gold continues to prepare to break out of its giant Head-and-Shoulders bottom pattern. As we can see on its 8-year chart below, this base pattern has been developing for getting on for five years now, so it has major implications. Upside volume has been building for a long time, driving volume indicators higher, a sign that a breakout and new bull market are simply a matter of time, and not much at that now.
There has been much grumbling and muttering within the gold community about how "The Cartel" and the Comex etc are holding the gold price in restraint by means of naked short selling, and hitting the market with supply when trading is thin during public holidays and overnight and so on, but the fact of the matter is that the reason why the Precious Metals sector has taken a back seat for years now is that there have been hotter games in town, like Biotech, Bitcoin, Cannabis, the FANGS, Tech generally, etc. and endless quantities of cheap money to bid them up into the stratosphere. So that is where the action has been. However, to everything its season and all that is coming to an end now, and the recent plunge in the stock market was a "shot across the bows" to all who would heed it, indicating that a new bear market is starting, but don't go telling that to the buy the dip crowd.
Gold does well and has its best bull markets when stocks generally are in a bear market, so don't get fooled by PM stocks falling with the stock market at this time—that won't last. Thus it is worth observing that gold has outperformed stocks during the period since the stock market plunge started—it is back where it was before the plunge, which is more than can be said for stocks.
Before looking at gold's shorter term 6-month chart, it is worth taking a quick detour to see how it is getting on against some other currencies. Over the past year or so the dollar has dropped quite hard, with the prime beneficiary of this drop being the euro, which has risen substantially. Therefore we should not be surprised to see that gold has dropped against the euro during this same period. What is interesting to observe on the 8-year chart for gold in euros, however, is that it has arrived at the lower boundary of a large uptrend that has turned the price back up on two occasions already. This suggests that gold is going to rise even in euros, and since the dollar is expected to continue to drop, regardless of any brief countertrend rally, it means that it should rise faster still against the dollar, which of course is what we would expect to see once it breaks out of its Head-and-Shoulders bottom shown on its normal dollar chart. Before leaving this chart observe how gold is not all that far off making new highs against the yen, shown at the bottom of the chart.
Turning now to the latest COT chart, the Large Specs high long positions are a factor that prompted us to look for a reaction in gold in the last update several weeks back. Readings have eased significantly since, although they are in middling ground and still far from levels that could be described as emphatically bullish. Such is not the case with silver, however—silver's latest COT is flat out bullish, so it could be that silver rallies and gold comes along for the ride, and gold's COTs do show that there is sufficient leeway for this to happen.

The latest 6-month chart shows that gold reacted just as we expected it to in the last update, back close to its rising 50-day moving average, and the good news is that, as we can see, it has already gotten back to where it was before the stockmarket plunge, an early sign of the outperformance to come. Right now, with the dollar having turned up from support again on Friday and looking set to stage a modest rally, gold looks set to react back again from the resistance shown towards the support once more, which should throw up another opportunity to accumulate the better PM stocks, and they have already started to drop back again.
Now we'll look at several charts for PM stocks, as represented by the proxy Market Vectors Gold Miners ETF, GDX. Starting with the 8-year chart we see that it has marked out a giant Head-and-Shoulders bottom pattern that parallels the one in gold itself, but there is one big difference—GDX is much closer to the Right Shoulder low of its H&S bottom than gold itself is, so you could say that gold stocks are better value here, as even a rise by GDX just to the neckline of its H&S bottom would result in big gains in many stocks.
The 2-year chart for GDX puts the recent drop in sympathy with the broad market into perspective. On this chart it looks like "a storm in a teacup"—it didn't breach the strong support shown and downside momentum, as shown by the MACD, was not all that great.
The 6-month chart for GDX shows that investors were freaked out by the plunge in the broad stockmarket and dumped PM stocks over the side too. This is normal in the early panic stages of broad market bearmarkets, but eases as the bearmarket becomes more established and the PM sector is increasingly seen as a safe haven. As with mainstream stocks, GDX recouped about 50% of its losses during the plunge, which we correctly anticipated in THE MAGNIFICENT DRAGONFLY DOJI REVERSAL CANDLE IN GDX, and is now turning lower again due to the dollar starting higher.
Now we move on to consider the dollar, as ever crucial in our calculations. As pointed out in the last update, the dollar has broken down from a giant Broadening Top, an ominous development, as we can see on the latest 8-year chart for the dollar index below, and now looks set to drop to a minimum target in the 80 area, notwithstanding any short-term rallies to near the breakdown point at the lower boundary of the top pattern.
Finally on the 3-month chart for the dollar index we can see how it rallied back to the lower boundary of the Broadening Top, as predicted in the last update, although it got a little higher than we expected and got there a little later, and then backed off again, also as predicted. Now, with a bullish candle forming on Friday, it looks like it is going to have another go at it, although this time the rally is expected to fail at a lower level. This would correspond with the minor reaction now expected across the PM sector that will throw up another buying opportunity.
