What to make of the NFL players efforts?

The whole brouhaha started with Colin Kaepernik  who refused to stand for the playing of the National anthem. The NFL protocol calls for players standing during the playing of the National Anthem, holding the helmet with one hand while placing the other hand over the heart. Kaepernik stated that his reasons were 1. to protest police treatment of blacks; 2. supporting "social justice" and 3. inequality.

The Left promotes the idea that white police officers are out to gun down innocent black man. That is part of the anti police rhetoric the Left has been promoting for decades. "Social justice" is simply Socialism and it is certainly not just.

 

The Left has used the dissing of the National Anthem to publicize its allegations until Trump called them on it. That's when NFL teams went berserk to show that they swallowed the Left's canards hook, line and sinker. Everyone had to participate: players, coaches and even owners. Needless to say, the majority of Americans  does not agree and some disapprove strongly. Will this hurt the NFL? Undoubtedly - it is just the question of how much.

 

The Left wants to do away with football on the grounds that it injures the brains of minority players. They have a point.

And it wasn't close. Judge Moore opposed Federal judges rulings on promoting gay 'marriage' and removing the Ten Commandments from public lands.

Does Pres Trump incite the anti American behaviour of the NFL players?

Following President Trump's remarks about players who disrespect the American flag (he called them sob's) the number of NFL players partaking of the effort increased to 200. The question may be asked whether the disrespect of the NFL players is due to the remarks of Pres Trump. The obvious answer is an emphatic "NO." The protesters are disrespecting the Country's flag not because of Mr Trump, but because of what they feel about the Country. They do it openly, because they know that by disrespecting the flag (and blaming it on Trump) they acquire the admiration of the Media. Some other players join them to preserve  team unity. When the pro-Islam President Obama was following disastrous policies, we on the Right did not call for disrespecting the flag.

The most disingenuous part of all this is the Media's appearing aghast that Trump called these players "sons of a bitches." The players call each other "mother.....rs". Get a grip 'Reporters.'

 As for boycotting the NFL, not yet. Let's see if the players continue their anti-American activities. If they will, then we will tune out the NFL and the NBA.

Tucker Carlson on the Democrat Party.

  

In his monologue, Tucker Carlson asked what would happen if America's two main political parties "changed completely and nobody noticed."

He said that his question has indeed come to fruition.

Carlson said the Democratic Party "morphed into something that bears no resemblance to what it was... ten years ago," adding that until recently the working class kept the party "grounded in the vicinity of reality."

He said that on illegal immigration and border security, President Clinton would be considered a hardliner out of sync with the rest of the party because of how strongly his views mirrored those of today's Trump movement.

Gold and mining shares. Caution.

OK. So gold dropped below 1,300 as forecast by the formulas of the Edelson Institute. Time to line up the trucks?


Caution, advise the same people. Gold will now trade between 1,275 an 1,300 for a while. For how long? Unknown at present. The formulas predict the big rise in prices in early December. But, it could easily happen in November. Meanwhile, gold may drop below 1,275. The FED can shovel in some confetti and drop the price $10-30.


On the upside, a close above 1,375 means that gold will reach 1,700.

Can China force the revaluation of the Dollar and the Remnimbi?

There is an interesting article on KWN by Hugo Salinas, discussing the aftereffects of the introduction of the Petro Yuan. Its ultimate effect would be to normalize (i.e. raise) the value of gold and devalue the Remnimbi and the Dollar. This may not be as disastrous as it first sounds.

 

First, whatever remains of the National Debt might be paid off by selling our gold - assuming any gold remains in US vaults. Second, the US will be forced to balance our budget. The FED and its cohorts will no longer be able to suppress the gold price and the Bouillon banks will be shut down. Hopefully, the authors of current and past policy to squander our gold and imperil the financial system will be deposed.

China being forced to attack the "Petro dollar."

The last thing the US consumer needs is a trade war with China.

At this point, however, the US isn't talking about cutting off trade in such a blunt manner.

As Mnuchin notes, the strategy here is to "prevent [the Chinese] from accessing the U.S. and international dollar system." In practice, this would likely mean restricting access to the so-called SWIFT system which facilitates international transactions in dollars.

 

This idea is highly problematic in its own way. Were the Chinese to be cut off from the dollar, this would only create an enormous incentive for the Chinese to move away from the dollar into other currencies — including its own. China's largest trading partners would likely follow China in this exodus. Moreover, China and Russia have already foreseen the possibility of SWIFT being "weaponized."

As Jeff Thomas notes:

China, Russia and others have seen this day coming and have created their own SWIFT system, world cable network and world banking system. All that’s needed to kick it all into gear is a major international need to bypass SWIFT. The US government has just provided that need with this threat. There would certainly be teething pains in getting the new system running on a massive scale, but the sudden worldwide need would drive the implementation.

Moreover, China is a key trading partner for Germany, Russia, Australia, Japan. Brazil, and South Korea. Will these countries simply write off China as a trading partner because thy can't settle accounts in dollars?  It's unlikely. 

 

While this would not necessarily destroy the dollar, a movement away from the US dollar would greatly diminish the dollar's standing as the world's reserve currency. It would diminish the dollar's role as the go-to currency, and this would, in turn, drive up borrowing costs — i.e. interest rates — for the US government. This would turn the US's currently sustainable debt problem into an unsustainable one. Massive domestic budget cuts in the US would follow. 

 

The fact is, as Foreign Policy noted last year, China is becoming "too big to sanction." Todd Williamson writes on how the IMF has now added China’s currency, the renminbi (RMB), to its basket of four reserve currencies known as Special Drawing Rights. In doing so, Williamson notes, the IMF "may have delivered a severe blow to the strength of a key tool in the West’s geopolitical arsenal: financial sanctions."

He continues: 

The RMB is currently the fourth-most traded currency on the global market (behind the dollar, euro, and pound). It now holds the third highest percentage in the basket, at just under 11 percent, placing it ahead of the pound’s 8 percent (though far below the dollar, which holds more than 40 percent). The IMF’s decision to include the RMB is more than a symbolic sign of the currency’s liberalization: It’s also a big step toward the RMB’s regular usage outside of China. The SDR determines the mix of currencies in which the IMF lends out — a total of $112 billion in 2015 — and the RMB’s inclusion in this distribution mechanism will likely drive up the currency’s demand. The comfort level of the RMB’s usage in global transactions among central banks, sovereign wealth funds, and other massive financial institutions will rise with the currency’s greater accessibility.

In other words, slapping financial sanctions on the Chinese is nothing at all like doing the same to the Iranians or the Venezuelans. The Chinese economy and the Chinese currency are already huge global players which huge trading partners. 

 

Now, as Thomas notes, if the US forces China away from the dollar will not be without pain. If it were painless, the Chinese state would have abandoned the dollar already. 

China Is Highly Motivated to Go Its Own Way on North Korea.

 

Should the US force the Chinese regime's hand, the regime will be highly motivated to stay the course on North Korea, in spite of the potential for economic disarray. 

China already feels itself surrounded by Western client states, including Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, and the Philippines. The Chinese state is not going to abandon its buffer state in North Korea. Were North Korea to be absorbed into a Greater Korea on American terms, this would be seen as a disaster by the Chinese, since it would place US forces right on a Chinese land border, just across the Yalu River. 

 

To get a sense of why the Chinese will not cave to US attempts at regime change in North Korea, imagine how the US would behave if China threatened the US with sanctions — unless the US permitted Chinese troops on the south bank of the Rio Grande. 

 

Add in the fact that the Chinese state is not subject to elections, and we can see the political will to carry on with de-dollarization in the face of US sanctions would be significant indeed. 

Another likely outcome of financial sanctions would be to encourage the Chinese to dump their holdings of US debt. China currently holds seven percent of all US bonds. Were the Chinese to dump these holdings, it will become far more difficult for the US and its central bank to continue paying rock-bottom interest rates on its 20-trillion-dollar debt. 

 

If the US wants to really continue with this sanctions game, it need also be prepared to face the reality that its not 1989, and that the world may not be willing to treat dollars and US sanctions in the way the US expects it to. The likely response will only be the latest evidence that the US "unipolar moment" is over.

The four Goldberg brothers, Lowell, Norman, Hiram and Maxwell, invented and developed the first automobile air-conditioner. On July 17, 1946, the temperature in Detroit was 97 F degrees. 



The four brothers walked into old man Henry Ford's office and sweet-talked his secretary into telling him that four gentlemen were there with the most exciting innovation in the auto industry since the electric starter. 

 

Henry was curious and invited them into his office. 



They refused and instead asked that he come out to the parking lot to their car. 



They persuaded him to get into the car, which was about 130 F degrees inside. They turned on the air conditioner, and cooled the car off almost immediately. 



The old man got very excited and invited them back to the office, where he offered them $3 million for the patent. 



The brothers refused, saying they would settle for $2 million, but they wanted the recognition by having a label, 'The Goldberg Air-Conditioner,' on the dashboard of each car in which it was installed.

Socialists make cities unlivable; kill nations.

Socialists advertise themselves as compassionate and a friend of the environment. But they create unintended consequences that are a yoke around the neck of people they say they are helping.

Take the situation in California. Having created all sorts of regulatory obstacles toward building affordable housing(and having strong unions to boot), it is not surprising that affordable housing in California is scarce. Even in Silicon Valley, workers who earn $100,000/year can not afford the available housing. A numbskull like  Gov Brown and his ilk do not understand that if you create a shortage it will drive up the price. Almost of half of California's population is considering moving out of the State:

Environmentalism is the belief that technology and capitalism must be crushed, at any cost.

Even if it means polluting the Earth.

The latest example of that extremism is a new campaign by wealthy activist groups to force meat chicken producers to switch to “slow growing” breeds of birds.

“Last March, Whole Foods Market announced it would require its suppliers to switch back to slower-maturing breeds and to improve farm conditions by 2024 as part of the Global Animal Partnership program the retailer created to push for more humane treatment of farm animals. In November, food-service companies Aramark and Compass Group agreed to follow the same standards,” The Associated Press reports.

“It is really unsustainable to have business practices that cause so much suffering, are so unhealthy, that consumers are appalled and reject the product when they’re educated about what’s happening,” said Daisy Freund, director of farm animal welfare for the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, which has pushed the slow-growth movement, tells the AP.

But, as the National Chicken Council notes, this latest environmentalist scheme has a massive impact on the environment.

If only one-third of producers switched to “slow grow” birds, that would mean:

* An additional 1.5 billion birds would need to be slaughtered to meet demand

* An additional 5.1 billion gallons of water would be diverted to poultry production

* An additional 7.6 million acres of land would need to be plowed under to produce feed

* An additional 28 billion pounds of chicken manure would need to be disposed of, where it often runs off into rivers and streams

The environmental impact of that is, by their own measure, devastating.  The “slow grow chicken” movement is literally a 28 billion pound pile of chicken $#!+>

Who will save the Earth from environmentalists?

Gold: into the final slide?

Contrary to most prognosticators, gold does not look like it is taking off anytime soon. In fact, the Institute created by Larry Edelson presented predictions that gold will now retreat until into December when it will take off to new heights.

 

IT IS IMPORTANT THAT YOU DO NOT GIVE UP. In fact, start backing up the truck when/if gold hits below 1,300 and buy as much mining stock as you can.

 

Here is the prediction of the Edelson formula:

Ingredients.

8  sheets of Graham crackers
8 oz salted butter (2 sticks)
1 cup packed brown sugar
1 cup chopped pecans

Method

1. break the sheets of graham cracker along perforated lines (result is 1x3 in rectangles)
2. cover a baking sheet (with sides) close together with the rectangles
3. Mix the butter and brown sugar in sauce pan. Over medium heat, once the the mixture comes to a bubble, add the pecans.
4. Pour the mix over the cracker rectangles
5. Bake for 10 min at medium heat.
^. Let cool for 30 min, break into rectangles and serve.

Chicken enchilada soup.

Ingredients.

4 chicken breasts
1 1/4 quart water

2 15 oz mild green enchilada sauce
2 4 oz cans chopped green chiles

1 1/2 TBSP ground cumin
1 TBSP chili powder
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp garlic powder

1 cup frozen corn thawed (or canned corn)
1/2 cup instant rice or egg noodles
1 8 oz bar of cream cheese (cubed)

salt and pepper to taste

Method.

1. Cook the chicken in water for 20 to 30 minutes.
2. Reserve the broth and take chicken out of the broth.
3. Use two forks to shred the chicken and put it back in the broth.
4. Add the rest of the ingredients, stir and cook gently for 30 minutes.

Irma: gathering the lessons.

Hurricane Irma hit Florida. Like in the case of Hurricane Harvey, there was a lot of hype, a lot of ambulance chasing by Liberals and yes-a lot of rain.

 

1. a. The physical facts. Irma became a cat 5 hurricane and as such it devastated the islands it rolled over.

   b. As Irma went by Cuba, the mountains reduced it to a cat 4 hurricane; still dangerous.

   c. Irma hit the Keys causing much damage, but not the catastrophe spouted by the ambulance chasers who were looking for an excuse to peddle their 'climate change' malarkey.

   d. The hurricane was wider than Florida, so even though the eye travelled Northward on the West side of the state, Miami and the coast got plenty of rain.

   e. Naples got hammered by the wind and rain, but then shortly after the storm center wobbled to the East, so the hurricane missed Tampa but the returning winds emptied Tampa Bay for a short time.

   f. The storm continued to lose strength (as is usual for hurricanes going over land) and while it drenched N Florida, it left the state as a tropical storm.

 

2. The "killer surge" did not materialize. Yes, there was a storm surge as can be expected.

 

3. There was a fair amount of damage as could be expected.

 

4. The ambulance chasing by the Liberals was fierce and silly. The fiercest (and most ridiculous) was the suggestion that the hurricane was "Mother Nature" punishment for electing Donald Trump.

 

 

One may conclude that the unearthly beauty of Jennifer Lawrence is accompanied by an unearthly ignorance and hatred of Trump.

 

In conclusion:

 

1. Liberals ignore that for over 10 years no hurricane had reached the United States.

 

2. Our good luck ran out and 'normal' conditions had returned.

 

3. Hurricane Irma was a strong hurricane, but not out of the norm.

 

4. The people involved performed pretty well. Yes, there were looters.

New Data: Illegal Voters May Have Decided New Hampshire in 2016

Newly available data is casting doubt on the integrity of the presidential election in New Hampshire in 2016, which Hillary Clinton won by just over 2,700 votes.

Over 6,000 voters in New Hampshire had used same-day voter registration procedures to register and vote simultaneously for president. The current New Hampshire speaker of the House, Shawn Jasper, sought and obtained data about what happened to these 6,000 "new" New Hampshire voters who showed up on Election Day.

It seems the overwhelming majority of them can no longer be found in New Hampshire.

Of those 6,000, only 1,014 have ever obtained New Hampshire driver's licenses. Of the 5,526 voters who never obtained a New Hampshire driver's license, a mere three percent have registered a vehicle in New Hampshire.

The Public Interest Legal Foundation received information that 70 percent of the same-day registrants used out-of-state photo ID to vote in the 2016 presidential election in New Hampshire and to utilize same-day registration.

Gov. Maggie Hassan, a Democrat, also defeated incumbent U.S. Sen. Kelly Ayotte by only 1,017 votes.

These new data illustrate the problem with same-day registration laws: they prevent the ability to verify residency prior to the election -- and in a close election, that can make a difference.

As John Fund and Hans von Spakovsky pointed out in their book Who's Counting, same-day registration fraud won Al Franken his Senate seat, and that extra Democratic seat then gave the country Obamacare.

Bacdoor Socialism.

There is a "new" idea percolating among the "Progressives" of the Country: guaranteed annual income. The alleged reason why the State has to support everyone is that automation will take all the jobs and we will have no need of electricians, brick layers, plumbers or truck drivers. The work force will consist of teachers (maybe) and government officials. Everyone else will be paid by the government.

This proposal brings some questions to mind:

1. Who will decide who gets paid and how much?
2. Where will the funds come from?
3. What will people do in their free time?
4. What will motivate people to be creative or even have children?

There has been an attempt in the past to achieve such a system where the government  gave everyone jobs and decided what to pay them. One Russian worker described it as 'the government pretends to pay us and we pretend to work for it.' You had to stand in line for food and there was a shortage of nearly everything, including toilet paper. The most annoying part of the system was how you were told that this was the greatest system and that your living standards were getting better every day.

A cache of weapons long suspected to be hidden in Texas during Operation Jade Helm 15 was uncovered by the flood waters of Hurricane Harvey. The stockpile, hidden in a small town outside of Lexmar, matches numbers in the inventory reported missing during Obama’s tenure.

Obama and his administration flat out refused to answer where more than 200 million rounds of ammunition went while he was commander-in-chief. The traitor always maintained that there had to be a clerical error. Now that nearly 10 percent of that ammo has been found, little question remains what happened to it.

The questions that do remain will have to be answered. There are 180 million rounds of ammunition out there that could be slated for use by an invasion force led by Barack Hussein Obama.

He has almost a billion dollars worth of weapons and equipment. Having stockpiles of automatic rifle ammo, hand grenades and mortar shells dispersed around the country would come in awfully handy in an all-out ground assault.

Attorney General Jeff Sessions said that the stockpile is being carefully inventoried to try to establish a chain of custody.

Many of the lot numbers that appear on the cases have simply “vanished” from the GAOs accounting. When all is said and done, there will be few people between the manufacturer and the last officer to order a lot moved. Someone will be forced to pony up some answers.

China Readies Yuan-Priced Crude Oil Benchmark Backed By Gold

The world’s top oil importer, China, is preparing to launch a crude oil futures contract denominated in Chinese yuan and convertible into gold, potentially creating the most important Asian oil benchmark and allowing oil exporters to bypass U.S.-dollar denominated benchmarks by trading in yuan, Nikkei Asian Review reports.

 

The crude oil futures will be the first commodity contract in China open to foreign investment funds, trading houses, and oil firms. The circumvention of U.S. dollar trade could allow oil exporters such as Russia and Iran, for example, to bypass U.S. sanctions by trading in yuan, according to Nikkei Asian Review. To make the yuan-denominated contract more attractive, China plans the yuan to be fully convertible in gold on the Shanghai and Hong Kong exchanges.

 

Last month, the Shanghai Futures Exchange and its subsidiary Shanghai International Energy Exchange, INE, successfully completed four tests in production environment for the crude oil futures, and the exchange continues with preparatory works for the listing of crude oil futures, aiming for the launch by the end of this year. ?

 

“The rules of the global oil game may begin to change enormously,” Luke Gromen, founder of U.S.-based macroeconomic research company FFTT, told Nikkei Asia Review.

The yuan-denominated futures contract has been in the works for years, and after several delays, it looks like it may be launched this year. Some potential foreign traders have been worried that the contract would be priced in yuan.

 

But according to analysts who spoke to Nikkei Asian Review, backing the yuan-priced futures with gold would be appealing to oil exporters, especially to those that would rather avoid U.S. dollars in trade.  

 

“It is a mechanism which is likely to appeal to oil producers that prefer to avoid using dollars, and are not ready to accept that being paid in yuan for oil sales to China is a good idea either,” Alasdair Macleod, head of research at Goldmoney, told Nikkei.

What does "ANTIFA" stand for?

"ANTIFA" is modeled on the participants of the INTIFADA in the Arab world. Members of these organizations use non-gun violence to overthrow the government. Texas is prone to tropical storms, some of which come on shore as hurricanes. Between 1900 and 1949 there have been 47 tropical cyclones that hit Texas. The idea that Harvey was due to global warning is a bunch of malarkey.

September 8, 1900: A long-lived tropical cyclone trekked across the Caribbean and moved over Cuba. On September 4, the Galveston office of the U.S. Weather Bureau began receiving warnings from the Bureau's central office in Washington, D.C., that a tropical storm had moved northward over Cuba. The Weather Bureau forecasters had little way of knowing where the storm exactly was, and referenced climatology, preferring a storm track towards the middle Gulf coast. Conditions in the Gulf of Mexico were ripe for further strengthening of the storm. The Gulf had seen little cloud cover for several weeks, and the seas were as warm as bathwater, according to one report. The hurricane moved west-northwest towards the Texas coast. The last train to reach Galveston left Houston on the morning of the September 8 at 9:45 a.m. It found the tracks washed out, and passengers were forced to transfer to a relief train on parallel tracks to complete their journey. Even then, debris on the track kept the train's progress at a crawl. As the hurricane neared, conditions in Texas deteriorated, and residents just thought it was a thunderstorm. August 24, 1909 - a hurricane slammed into the Mexico and Texas area. Point Isabel, Texas was completely underwater. No one perished though.^[7]

September 19, 1914 - The remnants of a system affected Texas near the Louisiana border.^[14]

August 17, 1915 - The second storm of the year was first observed in the eastern Tropical Atlantic on August 5. It tracked westward, intensifying into a hurricane on the 9th before crossing the Lesser Antilles on the 10th. As the hurricane continued through the Caribbean Sea, it passed just south of Puerto Rico and Hispaniola before crossing Jamaica on the 13th where it caused heavy damage. While south of Cuba it became a major hurricane, and it brushed the western tip of the country on the 15th. Over the Gulf of Mexico the hurricane continued to strengthen, and reached a peak of 140 mph winds. Just before landfall it weakened, and the hurricane hit Galveston, Texas on the 17th as a 120 mph hurricane. It turned northward, became extratropical on the 18th, and dissipated on the 23rd. Just fifteen years after the 1900 Galveston Hurricane, this hurricane damaged the already hurting Texas economy. Throughout its path, it caused a total of $50 million in damage (1915 USD, $921 million in 2005 USD) and 400 casualties.^[15]

August 18, 1916 - The 1916 Texas hurricane struck Corpus Christi, Texas on August 18 after striking Martinique. The storm caused over $28 million in damage, 1.6 million dollars in damage.^[16]
