Socialists make cities unlivable; kill nations.

Socialists advertise themselves as compassionate and a friend of the environment. But they create unintended consequences that are a yoke around the neck of people they say they are helping.

Take the situation in California. Having created all sorts of regulatory obstacles toward building affordable housing(and having strong unions to boot), it is not surprising that affordable housing in California is scarce. Even in Silicon Valley, workers who earn $100,000/year can not afford the available housing. A numbskull like  Gov Brown and his ilk do not understand that if you create a shortage it will drive up the price. Almost of half of California's population is considering moving out of the State:

That is music to Jerry Brown's ears because that means that California will become  a State where the populace consists of minorities on govt dole and limousine Liberals. You wonder why Californians do not get together and vote out the Socialists(Liberals).

It is easy to blame minorities for them being the beneficiaries of the Welfare State and at the same time being the victims of the very system they create and uphold. But you do not need to have darker skin to fall for the siren song of the benevolent government.

If you have a tax rate of 50% having a child (let alone more than one) become a luxury. And the lack of babies will not be solved by providing expecting mothers a package of goodies.

People of Finland want more babies? Cut the tax and get rid of the Welfare State. If the women do not have to earn to make ends meet (at 50% tax rates) maybe then.

Children are a gift from God as a blessing.
