Trump will no longer support Palestinian terrorism.

Trump Does the Impossible: Brings Peace to the Middle East

  0
Pres. Trump has given the Palestinian Authority a wake-up call that they can either broker a peace deal with Israel or go broke.
Perhaps no governmental body has engaged in fake negotiation longer and more successfully than the Palestine Authority. In a recent development, the Palestinian’s second highest ranking decision-making body, Central Council, called for revoking the very existence of Israel.
The recommendation is meant to be a punishment for Pres. Trump recognizing Jerusalem as Israel’s capital and expediting the move of the U.S. embassy to the Jewish Capital. The head-scratcher is that the Palestinians have never recognized Israel. But Pres. Trump’s forceful leadership has put them between a rock and a hard place that may force a peace settlement.
Reality Bites Palestinians
In the midst of the fiery rhetoric being bandied about among U.N. diplomats, Pres. Trump and leadership, The Jerusalem Post may have hit the nail right on the head with a recent article quoting Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, “World Has Pampered Palestinians, Trump First To Tell Them The Truth.”
In the article, the news outlet quotes the Israeli prime minister as saying that “I think (Palestine Pres.) Abbas is reacting. For the first time, someone (Pres. Trump) is telling them the truth.”
The Obama Administration had basically, bowed to the whims of the Palestinian Authority. So supportive of the Palestinian’s anti-Israel activity was Obama that on his last day in office, he reportedly released $221 million to the group. Former Pres. Obama was fully aware of incoming Pres. Trump’s pro-Israel stance.
The pro-Jerusalem position taken by Pres. Trump calls into question more than just who occupies what land and where Israel’s central government is located. The president’s actions now call into question the legitimacy of a Palestinian Authority that has refused to negotiate a peaceful settlement while also supporting terrorism. Pres. Trump’s tough talk on Palestine policies could end its ability to conduct business as usual.
Palestinians are in the Terrorism Business
In July of 2017, The NY Post reported a series of facts that should have turned every American and world leader against the Palestinian Authority.
Citing a report by the Institute for Contemporary Affairs, the Palestinian Authority promoted a budget that increased support for imprisoned terrorists by 13 percent and another 4 percent for families who died “in the struggle against Zion.” All told, 49.6 percent, or $344 million, in aid sent to the Palestinian Authority was being used to underwrite anti-Jewish aggression. The NY Post called it “welfare for terrorists.”
“The (Palestinian Authority) sends a salary to each Palestinian imprisoned for an attack on Israelis, hitting over $3,000 a month after 30 years. Other stipends go to families of “martyrs” killed in the act. That’s $344 million for 2017 that’s not going to build roads or hospitals,” the NY Post reported.
The ongoing coddling and funding by world nations has allowed the Palestinians to engage in a lucrative violence business on par with ISIS and Mexican drug cartels. Pres. Trump’s policies are pushing for an end to terror support and bad faith negotiations.
To date, Pres. Trump has already frozen $60 million in so-called “aid” to Palestine until the U.N. conducts a thorough review of all programs and finds them free from terror sponsorship.
Trump Administration Calls for End of Empty Rhetoric
During his speech at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, Trump called for further funding cut backs after Palestinian leaders made disrespectful remarks and actions regarding Vice President Mike Pence.
“Respect has to be shown to the US or we’re just not going any further,” Pres. Trump reportedly said. “That money is on the table and that money’s not going to them unless they sit down and negotiate peace.”
The Trump Administration is withholding hundreds of millions of dollars.
Policy hawks generally agree that the central problem for brokering a lasting peace agreement is simply that the Palestinians do not want one. Their aid-sponsored schools teach violence against the Jewish State and its people. They also instruct youths that compromise or the acceptance of Israel’s right to exist are off the table.
For upwards of 70 years, peace negotiators from around the world have attempted to reconcile the matter. None took a hardline position against the reality that the Palestinians Authority philosophically and financially supports the demise of Israel.
Pres. Trump’s recognition of Jerusalem and hardline policy shift isolates Palestine in a fashion they did not expect. No longer will they be able to thumb their nose at Americans while taking taxpayer dollars to pay for an anti-peace guerilla force. When the former recipients of that U.S. currency stick their hands out and come up empty, many will start rethinking the Palestinian Authority’s policy of “NO.” For the first time, they can either broker a realistic peace or go broke.

Dems show true character during SOTU.

Rush compiled a list of things the Dems refused to applaud:

THE PRESIDENT: The state of our union is strong because our people are strong.

Since the election, we have created 2.4 million new jobs, 200,000 new jobs in manufacturing, rising wages.

Unemployment claims have hit a 45-year low. African-American unemployment stands at the lowest rate ever recorded. Hispanic-American unemployment has also reached the lowest levels in history.

The stock market has smashed one record after another, gaining $8 trillion and more in value. 401(k), retirement pension and college savings accounts have gone through the roof.

Millions of Americans will have more take-home pay. Three million workers have already gotten tax cut bonuses. Apple has just announced it plans to invest a total of $350 billion in America.

ExxonMobil announced a $50 billion investment.

Chrysler is moving a major plant from Mexico to Michigan.

Toyota and Mazda are opening up a plant in Alabama.

Last year the FDA approved more new and generic drugs and medical devices than ever before in our country’s history.

We have sent thousands and thousands and thousands of MS-13 horrible people out of this country.

The coalition to defeat ISIS has liberated very close to 100 percent of the territory just recently held by these killers.

Freedom stands tall over one more monument: this one. This Capitol. This living monument. This is the monument to the American people.

That tells you where their hearts are. What I enjoyed the most was when Rep Louis Gutierrez (reacting to chants of USA, USA) ran out of the chamber like a devil that has just been sprinkled by holy water.

Trump and immigration: sheer political brilliance.

I have posted on Jan 14, describing the brilliance of Trump maneuvering his enemies into shooting themselves in the foot. His performance has been nothing but brilliant. It was a post covering the breakout of gold so you may have missed the second part.

Trump had a problem with the Wolff book. Wolff did a hit piece on Trump and he was aided by the silly antics of Bannon. The Drive-by-Media ate it up and various Leftists (in and out of the Media) were starting to roll out their smear machine, opining that Trump's fitness should be examined by professionals (I. e. Leftists Psychiatrists).

Trump called a meeting at the White House, dangling the bait of a DACA bill. The Dems thought that Trump was ready to cave. After all, previous Presidents caved when the Drive-by-Media ran its wall to wall outrage machine. Trump let the whole meeting be televised. DiFi (Sen Diane Feinstein) went for the bait like a trout for a  mayfly. Trump came out of the meeting as a statesman. The Wolff book was forgotten. Then Trump asked why the Democrats wanted people from sh--hole countries and Diane Feinstein's dream of a "clean" DACA bill (i.e. where the Dems got what they wanted and Trump got us nothing) went up in the smoke of the Drive-by-Media's outrage machine.

Then came the second strike at the Dems. Trump offered citizenship not for the 700,000 illegals but for 1.8 million of them. Condition: the Dems agree to funding the wall now, abolish immigration lottery, end chain migration and base immigration on merit. Trump supporters again wondered if he were ready to cave. But no, the Dems reject a deal such as that. This time Trump is forcing the Dems to disclose their real aim: they do not just want to legalize the illegals, they want a continuous stream of immigrants who do not speak our language, do not intend to lean and will not become Americans.

Frankly, I didn't think Trump had it in him. A Republican who can make his enemies admit what they are after.

The problem with EVs (electric vehicles).

An acquaintance test drove the Chevy Volt at the invitation of General Motors and he writes, "For four days in a row, the fully charged battery lasted only 25 miles before the Volt
switched to the reserve gasoline engine."  Eric calculated the car got
30 mpg including the 25 miles it ran on the battery.
So, the range including the 9-gallon gas tank and the 16 kwh battery is approximately
270 miles. It will take you 4.5 hours to drive 270 miles at 60 mph.

Then add 10 hours to charge the battery and you have a total trip time

of 14.5 hours.  In a typical road trip your average speed (including

charging time) would be 20 mph. According to General Motors, the Volt battery
holds 16 kwh of electricity.  It takes a full 10 hours to charge a drained

battery.  The cost for the electricity to charge the Volt is never

mentioned, so I looked up what I pay for electricity.  I pay

approximately (it varies with amount used and the seasons) $1.16 per

kwh. 16 kwh x $1.16 per kwh = $18.56 to charge the battery.  $18.56

per charge divided by 25 miles = $0.74 per mile to operate the Volt

using the battery.  Compare this to a similar size car with a gasoline engine that gets only 32 mpg.
$3.19 per gallon divided by 32 mpg = $0.10 per mile. The gasoline

powered car costs about $20,000 while the Volt costs $46,000-plus.  So

the American Government wants loyal Americans not to do the math, but
simply pay three times as much for a car, that costs more than seven

times as much to run, and takes three times longer to drive across the country.

The moral of the story is that we MUST weigh choices carefully and not let the enviros

rush us into costly mistakes.

Disputing the assertions of Dr. Robert B. Reich

//***AJ begins.
Dr Reich pretends to give advice to the GOP. Every time that happens I am skeptical***//
America has never before had a president as deeply unpopular at this stage of his presidency, or one who has sucked up more political oxygen. This isn't good news for the Republican Party this November or in the future, because the GOP has sold its soul to Donald Trump.
Three principles once gave the GOP its identity and mission: Shrink the deficit, defend states' rights, and be tough on Russia.

Now, after a year with the raving man-child who now occupies the White House, the Republican Party has taken a giant U-turn. Budget deficits are dandy, states' rights are obsolete, and Russian aggression is no big deal.
By embracing a man whose only principles are winning and getting even, the Republican Party no longer stands for anything other than Trump.

//*** AJ adds. This is  an old trick of Democrats; demonize a Republican President or VP and then try for votes by using the demonized person as a tar baby. Is Mr Trump less popular than he could be? Certainly. Pres Trump and Ronald Reagan are the only two Presidents with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and it drives Liberals insane. The Media is biased in that it presents anti-Trump stories 90% of the time. It is amazing  that he is this popular. No doubt Liberals preferred Pres W who could be demonized with impunity. Trump hits back. A refreshing change. Dr Reich suffers from the Anti Trump Derangement Syndrome and  so his problem should be referred to a psychiatrist. ***//
Start with fiscal responsibility.
When George W. Bush took office in 2001, the Congressional Budget Office projected a $5.6 trillion budget surplus over the next 10 years. Yet even this propitious outlook didn't stop several Republicans from arguing against the Bush tax cut out of concern that it would increase the national debt. A few years later, congressional Republicans were apoplectic about Barack Obama's spending plan, necessitated by the 2008 financial crisis. Almost every Republican in Congress opposed Mr. Obama's plan. They argued it would dangerously increase in the federal debt.
"Yesterday the Senate cast one of the most expensive votes in history," intoned Sen. Mitch McConnell. "Americans are wondering how we're going to pay for all this." Paul Ryan warned that the nation was "heading for a debt crisis."

//***AJ continues.Liberals regard the earnings of people as belonging to the government. The government does not have to pay for tax cuts, Dr Reich, it is not their money. If the people's representatives decide that the government takes too much then government needs to spend less. Tell us Dr Reich, what programs you would cut (other than defense.) But, the tax cut is benefitting the workingmen and women as well. Many people are getting bonuses and raises because of it. Wal Mat has increased the entry wage from $9/hr to $11/hr. Those people are not rich one percenters. And Apple is going to repatriate $250 Billion and spend another $350 Billion in the US. Some of that will end up as tax revenue. When tax rates were cut under Pres Kennedy and Reagan, tax revenues actually increased.***//
Now, with America's debt at the highest level since shortly after World War II (77 percent of GDP), Mr. Trump and the GOP have enacted a tax law that by their own estimates will increase the debt by at least $1.5 trillion over the decade.
What happened to fiscal responsibility? Messrs. McConnell, Ryan and the rest of the GOP have gone mum about it. Politics came first: They and Mr. Trump had to enact the big tax cut in order to reward their wealthy patrons.

States' rights used to be the second pillar of Republican thought.
For decades, Republicans argued that the Constitution's 10th Amendment protected the states from federal meddling. They used states' rights to resist desegregation; to oppose federal legislation protecting workers, consumers and the environment; and to battle federal attempts to guarantee marriage rights for gays and lesbians.

In 2013, when the Supreme Court relied on states' rights to strike down the heart of the Voting Rights Act, then-Sen. Jeff Sessions, the GOP's leading advocate of states' rights, broke out the champagne, calling it "good news."
But after a year of Mr. Trump, Republicans have come around to thinking that states have few, if any, rights.

//***
The US Constitution is clear on the rights of States: any powers not specifically delegated to the Federal Govt are retained by the States or the people. Democrats in the South believed that 'States Rights' meant that people could be owned as slaves or that some people could be segregated on the basis of race. But, the people's representatives decided that the regulation of narcotics, immigration and some other issues are  delegated to the Federal govt, so some Liberal states are wrong in decriminalizing narcotics and refusing to enforce immigration rules. Keeping open borders is dangerous even though it helps the Democrat Party by swelling an underclass. And what the Courts have struck down was an illegal manipulation on campaign contributions that was to favor Democrats.***//

As attorney general, Mr. Sessions has green-lighted a federal crackdown on marijuana in states that have legalized it. He and Mr. Trump are also blocking sanctuary cities from receiving federal grants. (A federal judge recently stayed Mr. Trump's executive order on the grounds that it violates the 10th Amendment, but Messrs. Trump and Sessions are appealing the decision.)

Mr. Trump is also seeking to gut California's tough environmental rules. His Department of the Interior is opening more of California's federal land and coastline to oil and gas drilling, and Mr. Trump's EPA is moving to repeal new restrictions on a type of heavily polluting truck that California was going to ban in order to help meet its climate and air-quality goals.
Meanwhile, the Republican-controlled House has approved the Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act, which would prevent states from enforcing their own laws against concealed handguns in instances where visitors come from states that allow concealed weapons.

For the new GOP, states' rights be damned. Now it's all about consolidating power in Washington under Mr. Trump.

The third former pillar of Republicanism was a hard line on Russian aggression.
When Mr. Obama forged the New START treaty with Moscow in 2010, Republicans in Congress charged that Vladimir Putin couldn't be trusted to carry out any arms control agreement.
They also complained a few years ago that Mr. Obama wasn't doing enough to deter Russia in Eastern Ukraine. "Every time [Obama] goes on national television and threatens Putin or anyone like Putin, everybody's eyes roll, including mine," said Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham. "We have a weak and indecisive president that invites aggression."

That was then. Now, despite explicit findings by American intelligence agencies that Russia interfered in the 2016 election -- the most direct attack on American democracy ever attempted by a foreign power -- Republicans in Congress want to give Russia a pass.
They don't even want to take steps to prevent further Russian meddling. They've downplayed a January report by Democrats on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee warning that the Kremlin will likely move to influence upcoming U.S. elections, including those this year and in 2020.
The reason, of course, is the GOP doesn't want to do anything that might hurt Mr. Trump or rile his followers.

//*** You did not get the memo?
Mueller has given up the pretense that he is looking for evidence of collusion between the Trump Campaign and Russia because there isn't any. Even if there were, it would not be prohibited by law. That story was based on a made up dossier paid for by the Hillary campaign and shopped to the FISA Court so the Obama regime would have an excuse to spy on the Trump campaign. Obama's appointees at the DOJ, FBI and the spy ops had conspired to stop him from getting elected and when that did not work, to try to get him out of office

Let's get this straight! The GOP was never anti Russia, it was anti Soviet and anti Communist.  As I recall, Liberals were pro Communist . Now that the Soviet Union is no more and Russia is groping its way into God's grace, you Liberals have become anti Russia.

While we are at this, Let's put in a critique of current policies toward Russia. In spite of Russian attempts to have friendlier relations with the West, Western governments are out there trying to antagonize Russia. NATO's borders have been extended to the borders of Russia (In spite of reassurances that this would not happen), Russian speakers are being discriminated against in the Baltics and the Ukraine and Russia's warm water port in the Crimea (that is their lease of the port of Sebastopol) were threatened by the Ukrainian govt.  As I write this, American trainers are training the Ukrainian Armed forces to use American weapons to wage war on Russia itself. This  will not end well.***//

The GOP under Mr. Trump isn't the first political party to bend its principles to suit political expediency. But it may be the first to jettison its principles entirely, and over so short a time.
If Republicans no longer care about the federal debt, states' rights or Russian aggression, what exactly do they care about? What are the core principles of today's Republican Party?

Winning and getting even.

//***
Mr Trump won and is fighting the Media that is a megaphone for the Democrat Party. A refreshing change.
***//

But as a year with Mr. Trump as president has shown, this is no formula for governing.

Texan humor.

A Texas cowboy moved to Wyoming. One day he goes to a bar, orders three mugs of beer, sits down in a booth and starts taking a sip from each mug. After a while he drank down all three mugs of beers and went and ordered another triple. The bartender looks at him and says 'hey Mister, those beers would stay much fresher if you ordered them just one at a time.' 'That's OK,' said the cowboy, "you see, I have a brother in Arizona and one in Texas and we agreed to drink this way.' The bartender thinks this is a bit peculiar, but hey, it does not bother anyone. So, a few months pass by and every time the cowboy comes in he orders three mugs at a time.

One day the cowboy orders just two and the bartender is taken aback. 'I'm sorry to see one of your brothers has passed away' he says. The cowboy looks a bit perplexed then smiles and says: 'oh, we're all OK, but my wife and I joined a Baptist church and she and I quit drinking.'

Clinton-Obama emails: Hillary's GET OUT OF JAIL CARD.

We now know that Hillary would not be indicted because she exchanged about 20 emails with Obama; some of them while she was in Russia and if she were indicted Obama would have to be indicted also. Both of them were guilty of felonious conduct. Thus began a chain of incredible events that had a whole slew of people at the FBI and Justice Dept. engulfed in illegal activity. The Hillary campaign was to extend Obama's policies and were she to win, all these facts would have been buried. But Trump won and Congressional Republicans are slowly uncovering the misdeeds of Obama and Hillary.

Andy McCarthy does a masterful job of chronicling the working of the Swamp in protecting Obama and Hillary.

The Holy Grail of anti influenza vaccine - found!

Inovio Pharmaceuticals reports the publication of a paper that announces that their universal  anti influenza vaccine has protected animal models against ALL strains of lethal influenza virus that infected people during the last 100 years.

The big question now is when will the vaccine be made legal to distribute?

Unlike with drugs,  there is no P1, P2 and P3 study, because such a human study is deemed unethical.  So, efficacy is deduced from animal models. We then need to examine the safety of the vaccine.

This vaccine is pure DNA so it does not have any killed virus particles. It does not  need any adjuvant so there is no safety issue there either. And the method of using DNA vaccines have been tested in hundreds of people. It is safe. So, FDA, how about it? A safe vaccine that protects against all strains of influenza virus?

Disclosure: I own stock in Inovio.

Mueller comes out of the closet as an anti-Trump conspirator.

From the Politico.
Amid new signs that special counsel Robert Mueller is pursuing an obstruction of justice case against President Donald Trump, Republicans in Congress have intensified their own investigations of the Justice Department's and FBI's handling of inquiries into Trump’s ties to Russia.
Tuesday brought several dramatic developments in the Russia saga, including the news that Mueller recently interviewed Attorney General Jeff Sessions, the first Cabinet official known to be questioned in the investigation. The New York Times also reported that former FBI Director James Comey was interviewed by Mueller last year.

But even as Mueller showed apparent momentum, Republicans made new charges of political bias and even potential criminal misconduct in the nation’s top law enforcement agencies.
On Fox News, Rep. Bob Goodlatte (R-Va.), chairman of the House committee that oversees the Justice Department and FBI, alleged an anti-Trump “conspiracy” by FBI agents whose text message exchanges have been made public in selective bursts by GOP lawmakers.
“Some of these texts are very disturbing,” Goodlatte said, adding, “They illustrate a conspiracy on the part of some people, and we want to know a lot more about that.”

Meanwhile, congressional Republicans pushing to release a secret memo they have drafted based on classified intelligence — which they claim reveals anti-Trump bias in the FBI — got a boost on Tuesday from the White House, which called for “full transparency” on the issue.
Separately, a GOP lawmaker on the House Judiciary Committee indicated that there were plans to recall Comey to testify about his handling of the 2016 investigation into Hillary Clinton.

Congressional Democrats say it’s no accident that the GOP probes have escalated as Mueller has homed in on Trump’s top allies. Reps. Adam Schiff of California, Jerry Nadler of New York and Elijah Cummings of Maryland, the top Democrats on three GOP-led committees unearthing internal FBI documents, say the Republican efforts smack of a partisan campaign to protect the president and sully the investigators who have questioned his behavior.
“Republicans are now attacking the FBI in order to undermine Special Counsel Mueller and protect President Trump, but their claims are directly at odds with the facts,” the three Democrats said in a joint statement on Tuesday afternoon.

AJ adds: Let's set the record straight. The top echelon of the Dept. of Justice and the FBI conspired to spy on the Trump campaign. They also hatched a plot (they called it insurance) that Trump would not be inaugurated. They have met off campus to carry out part of the plot. They claim that relevant communications between the plotters were lost. These are now established facts Reps Schiff, Nadler and Cummings. It is you that are trying to overturn the results of the election.

Let us also state the fact that:

1. The President has the authority to fire any employee he feels is detrimental to him carrying out his duties:

2. The President has the authority to initiate investigations and stop investigations (after all he can pardon even people who have been convicted).

Thus, Republicans are acting lawfully from continuing the perverting of the FBI into a partisan, political agency. It is about time.

Yes, Elizabeth, there is a conspiracy.

Do you recall when I first stated the extent of this conspiracy?

1. The Obama "Justice" Dept. got a FISA warrant to spy on the Trump campaign. Now we know that Hillary's campaign paid for a fake dossier and then the intelligence agencies presented this to the FISA judge as a bona fide and established intelligence;

2. When this wasn't enough to defeat Trump, the highest levels of the FBI and the Justice Dept. hatched a conspiracy to have as an insurance that Trump would not be inaugurated;

3. Trump was elected and inaugurated in spite of all this. Then Comey and Rosenstein concocted an excuse to have a Special Counsel to create crimes in the Administration. Hence the Mueller witch hunt.

4. Meanwhile, the Media/Democrat Party wants to legalize millions of illegal aliens who do not speak our language and do not share our values but are willing to vote for Democrats (or have their patrons cast their vote for them).

5. California is in open rebellion against the rest of the country and will act to officially legalize illegal aliens. This swamp needs to be drained. The more it is delayed the worse it will be.

The phony shutdown and its aftermath.

The Dems have jury-rigged government "shut downs" so they are in fact propaganda exercises. First, programs dear to the hearts of Dems are put on autopilot, so they aren't affected. Second, programs dear to Reps (like defense and parks and services) are shut down to showcase the "heartlessness" of the GOP. The Media, of course is cheerleading the process. This process became so choreographed that the GOP became deathly  afraid of opposing Democrats for fear of accruing the ire of the Media/Democrat Party. In came Trump and the Reps fought off the Media. Schumer capitulated.

What do the Democrats want?

The Dems lost the last Presidential election and they feel that this is intolerable. Thus, they want to import enough illegal aliens to fix the outcome of future elections. They say they want to legalize the 700,000 young illegals. But, of course there is a lot more of them that 700,000, more like 4 million. With chain migration, this would turn into 10 million potential Democrats. Why? Because most of them do not speak English and depend on government benefits doled out by the Democrats. Some of them also want to "reconquer" the SW and push us out of there.

The Dems do not care who they have to sell us out to, they just want the votes.

Schumer is working on the next shutdown. The excuse for that is Schumer will no longer will agree to building the wall. So, the GOP either capitulates or the Dems shut down the government.

Wll there be a Blue Wave in 2018?

Democrats chortle that they will win back control of the House and the Senate. They point to recent gains is Statewide and local elections. And they hope to make Trump a curse word.

But, there is one thing that we need to remember. The Democrats have done better because the negative influence of Barak Hussein Obama and Hillary Clinton has been removed, so Democrats are having a rebound. Republicans have yet to join the fight.

Gold: why analysts forecast a rally.

Gold has surpassed $1,300/0z. Naturally, the question is whether this means a rally or will the usual suspect knock it down.

Here is a graphic representation of gold markets:

The graph indicates that we had entered a new bull market for gold. What is the reason why some analysts feel that gold prices will go much higher? That belief is based on the ratio of commodity prices (including gold) to the Stock Market:

This ratio has fallen to an almost all time low. While Americans had been persuaded to not buy gold, China has vacuumed up all it could. Here is the purchase of several nations in 2016:

And in 2017, this trend continued with a 55% drop in US purchases. American bought stocks and bitcoin, the Chinese and Indians bought gold:

If there is a reset in gold price (and some experts insist that it is coming), China, India, Germany and Thailand will be the chief beneficiaries.

Humoring the English.

A young Arab boy asks his father, “What is that strange hat you are
wearing?"

The father said, "Why, my son, it is a 'chechia.' In the desert it
protects our heads from the intense heat of the sun."

"And what is this clothing you are wearing?” asked the boy. “This long
flowing robe seems so…”

“Oh, my son!” exclaimed the father. “It is very simple. This is a
'djbellah.' As I have told you, in the desert it is not only very hot,
but the sand is always blowing. My djbellah protects the entire body,”

The son then asked, "But Father, what about those ugly shoes you have on
your feet?"

"These are 'babouches' my son,” the father replied "You must understand
that although the desert sands are very beautiful, they are also
extremely hot. These 'babouches' keep us from burning our feet."

"So tell me then," added the boy...

"Yes, my son…"

"Why are you living in London and still wearing all this shit?

So, why do the Dems want people from sh--hole countries?

There are two reasons; one obvious, the other is not.

Jennifer Palmiery of The Center for American Progress had given away the secret: the Dems want these people as new voters for the Democrat Party. That is how they conquered California.

1. The first reason the Dems want these people is that they are (and will be) dependents of the State and thus will be beholden to the Democrat Party (their benefactor). They do not care if the Dems sell us out to the Muslims, take away our freedoms or ruin our economy with Socialist schemes as long as they are given their benefits. Since they can not speak English (nor are they encouraged to learn),  it is assured that they will remain outside the normal economy.

2. The second reason why the Dems want uneducated people in the country is to reduce the earning potential of low trained blacks. That way the Dems can continue to rail about racism being the cause of income disparity.

Gold and the Trump kerfuffle.

Experts on KWN and elsewhere have forecast a huge rally this year. So did the Edelson Institute. You can see their forecast in a September post last year. Again, it is time to look at events on how the PM prices behaved in December and January.

Here is the up to date graph of gold:

We see that gold has begun its ascent in December (as the Edelson forecast predicted), took a short breather in January and resumed its climb last week.

Silver has also broken out though the first phase of a silver rally is less than the gold rally. Big money pours into gold and the smaller money then goes into silver. Here is the corresponding graph for silver:

The silver patter is like gold's but a bit smaller.

Here are a couple of miners:

and a second one:

The pattern is similar: a breakout in December followed by a breather at year end then a resumption of the rally last week.

The forecast for 2018 is as follows: gold to top 3,651 dollars an ounce.Silver may hit any time between 66 and 100 dollars an ounce.

You can see the rally forecasted by the increased volume in gold sales:

That's what the forecast is.

Now to the Trump kerfuffle.

The Drive-by-Media has magnified the importance of the Wolff book and various Leftists demanded that Trump be examined by psychiatrists or removed under the 25th Amendment. So, what does Trump do? He calls a conference at the White House, using the bait of caving in on DACA. The Dems jump at the bait thinking that Trump is ready to cave  and legalize near a million Democrat votes. Trump shines at the meeting. Even CNN praises him. The invasion of the Country by illegals intensifies and some people get dejected that Trump is ready to throw away the future of the Country.
That's when Trump torpedoes the DACA cave in by asking the question: why do you Democrats want to bring in people from countries that are Terrible places. Senator Durbin said Trump referred to those countries as "sh-- holes. Republican Senators present did not hear the sh word. Regardless, Trump showed how well he can function, the Wolff book is off the discussion and the Media is wallowing in phony outrage. They had been outwitted again.

The end of cryptocurrencies - handwiting on the wall.

Money and Markets
YOUR BEST SOURCE FOR THE UNBIASED MARKET COMMENTARY YOU WON’T GET FROM WALL STREET

After hitting $20,000 in mid-December, bitcoin prices keep drifting lower.

Looking at the news, it’s clear to me why this is happening.

On Monday, the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), the organization that regulates brokers, advisers and financial institutions in the United States, announced that it was going to focus on cryptocurrencies.

FINRA is a big deal if you manage money or if you are a financial adviser … you have to follow its rules and subject yourself to its examinations.

Merrill Lynch, one of the biggest financial broker and advisory companies in the U.S., banned any cryptocurrency investments in its accounts.

The Chinese government this week announced a plan for an orderly end to bitcoin mining.

That’s right after Visa Europe canceled cards that allowed users to access bitcoin.

This comes right after the South Korean government started requiring real names for all cryptocurrency transactions. The government also banned banks from opening accounts for virtual currencies.

The Indian government is waging war on bitcoin and cryptocurrencies by choking the flow of cash to anyone who’s trading these assets.

If you’ve been in markets long enough, you can see a familiar pattern here…

technological developments.

Biological Sciences.

a) DNA vaccines. Circular DNA that contains sequence for antigens. More than one of these can be contained on one circle. The circle is electroporated into the cells which use their protein synthesis machinery to make the antigens.

b) DNA circles that contain code for factors to increase immune response and/or neutralize the camouflaging factors of cancer cells.

c) dMABs (DNA circles containing the sequence for monoclonal antibodies). These can be introduced into the cells and start producing antibodies almost instantly. With some disease such as Ebola, there is little time left for cure once diagnosis is positive.

d) A device to force DNA through the skin via pressure and supply a pulse of electricity for electroporation.

e) Extension of life span. The work on this centers on telomere extension. Also cosmetics. More on this in future reports.

f). Changing of the genetic makeup of humans and animals. Super dogs and horses are already being produced. Using the CRISPER system, genes can be replaced. We can be sure that the Chinese will produce super soldiers and that the Russians will produce super athletes.

Space travel.

Artificial gravity and FTL (faster than light) propulsion is needed to bring this about. There are rumors that these already exist, but there is no reliable confirmation.

Energy generation and storage.

a) The ultimate solution to energy generation is to use thorium power plants. These plants would use Thorium as the fissioning material and the fissioning would be started by uranium or any other fast decaying radio isotope. Such plants would be so safe that they would not need concrete containment. Why not, you might ask? Because if the process stops for ANY reason, no further heat is generated, since the thorium does not fission by itself. The process would use fissionable garbage (the byproducts of current atomic plants) and enriched Uranium.

b) Solar and wind energy. These have become cheaper to compete with coal and natural gas, partly because they are government subsidized. There are several problems with these methods: noise, cost and killing of birds. The biggest problem is the storage of energy during peak generation hours and release of energy during non-generating hours.

c) The invention of new battery types will solve this problem.

No, not the lithium batteries. The vanadium flow through battery.
Here is the picture of an actual operational battery in Washington, AC (State).
The basic concept of the vanadium flow through battery is shown below:

 And some more detail

There is a hybrid type battery where the catholyte tank contains a Lithium compaound in solution  and the anolyte side contains a vanadium solution. This battery can store 10X as much electricity as the Vanadium flow through, but is 10,000x slower to discharge.

The Vanadium flow through battery can store as much electricity as th size of the liquid containers permits. The battery will keep the charge practically indefinitely and can be completely discharged without harming it. The life span is estimated as 20 years. This type of battery is being tested in Washington AC, California, Massachusetts and China.

IMO, Thorium plants would produce electricity cheaper and without the need for costly batteries. They would not produce carbon dioxide  and would not kill birds.
