News from PyeongChang.

I hope I spelled it right. Looked up what the name meant and it means 'prosperous country.' Those who want to make comments about the Winter Olympics need to do some research. So, the first stop on this tour is Katie Couric, the infobabe that comments on NBC 's coverage of the winter Olympics. She is 61 so hopefully she will not resent being called a babe. She is your average Liberal infobabe which means often wrong  on her topic.

Ms Couric has been made fun of for her comment that the Dutch are good at speed skating, because the Dutch use the frozen canals around Amsterdam to get to work on skates.  Posters had a lot of fun on Facebook with that comment.

But the Dutch have good speed skaters and that is a fact.

I have a bone to pick with the US Olympic Committee. Their grandiose statement that they wanted the Olympians to look more like the country is totally out of bounds. They imply that the black athletes who were selected were sent because of their race. The Committee is not supposed to discriminate on the basis of race. And if those athletes were among the best who were qualified they do not deserve the aspersion that their color had something to do with their selection. Likewise, the selection of two openly gay athletes is questionable in light of the disgraceful behavior of one of them toward the Vice President.

The N-word countries are doing well. That's the Netherlands and Norway.

Finally, I hope that everyone realizes the danger involved in these events. Even in relatively calm weather, those sports are dangerous.  But in yesterday's gale force winds the skiers were blown sideways. LOucly that no one was hurt seriously.
