Jewish Torah sages study the writings of commentators for hints of events to unfold in the Middle East. A rabbi by the name of Pinchas Winston has unearthed such a commentary:
Rabbi Winston cities a prophecy from the Yalkut Shimoni, a commentary of the Bible penned in the 1200s, which mentions a major war between Israel and Iran.
It reads: “All the nations of the world will be provoking each other. The king of Persia will provoke the king of Arabia.”
And it says the war will “threaten to destroy the entire world” as the nations “fall on their faces and will experience pains like birth pangs”.
Also this week, Israel threatened to kill Assad if Iran continues to use Syria as a base form which to attack them.
Iran is believed to have thousands of troops in Syria helping Assad. He is also getting support from Russia. The Bible speaks of forces from Persia, Russ and those of an Arab leader launching an attack on Israel. This is the war that is said to attract 200 million Muslims. Their forces will converge on the fields of Megiddo and will be annihilated by fire from the sky.
