The FBI must be purged along with the DOJ.

Trump Should Fire Mueller and Rosenstein to Save the Country

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Yesterday, I wrote about the fascists coming out into full view over in London.  A few hours after I posted that piece, the fascists came out into full view in America, too, as the FBI raided the home, office and even hotel room of long-time Trump personal attorney Michael Cohen, based on a referral from – guess who? – Special Counsel Robert Mueller and his band of merry Clinton/Obama sycophants.
The fake news media of course immediately knee-jerked to the assumption that the raid was solely designed to seize any documents related to porn star Stormy Daniels, so that they would all have an excuse to show more photos and tapes of porn star Stormy Daniels.  Because that’s what the fake news media does.
Cohen, after all, is the Trump lawyer who executed the non-disclosure agreement with the porn star and wrote her a personal check for $130,000 as a part of that.  Allegedly as a part of that transaction, he reportedly took out a second loan on his house, and supposedly Mueller and the New York U.S. attorney who is also involved are looking at possible bank fraud related to that loan, i.e., did Cohen misrepresent the reasons for taking the loan to the bank that loaned him the money.
However, as the afternoon and evening progressed, it eventually became clear through the fake news fog that the raids were more about Cohen’s interactions early in the 2016 campaign with an anti-Russian Ukrainian businessman named Victor Pinchuk.  Pinchuk apparently contributed $150,000 to the Trump Foundation after Trump had delivered a 20-minute speech condemning Russia’s actions towards Ukraine in 2015, and Mueller is investigating whether or not Cohen violated any campaign laws in soliciting that contribution.
Ironically, of course, the Special Counsel whose ostensible job was to investigate whether the Trump campaign had coordinated with Russia to influence the election is now focused on the campaign’s supposed interactions with a Ukranian who hates Russia.  Even more ironically, Mr. Pinchuk’s foundation gave more than $8 million to the Clinton Crime Family Fake Foundation while the Pantsuit Princess was Secretary of State, a situation that Mr. Mueller is spending exactly zero time looking into.
So once again we see Mr. Mueller ranging wildly outside the supposed reason for his appointment, and Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, who made the appointment, exercising absolutely no oversight whatsoever to rein his attack dog in.  Worse, Rosenstein signed off on the conduct of yesterday’s raids in advance.
Making matters even more repugnant, many of the seized documents would normally fall under the attorney/client privilege, but the FBI/DOJ thugs have a way around even that now-dead stricture of law.  Supposedly, there will be a “separate team” of FBI agents who will review all the documents for potential privilege, and who will only turn over the non-privileged documents to the prosecutors.  If any of you really believe that such a process protecting the client (the sitting President of the United States) is actually going to take place, I have some wonderful lake front property in the Mojave Desert I’d like talk with you about.
The FBI has clearly demonstrated over the last half-decade that it simply cannot be trusted, and that it is willing to engage in any abuse of law or citizens’ rights in order to protect itself.  The timing of this raid could not be more blatant in that regard, coming as it does just one day after Attorney General Jeff Sessions appointed Chicago U.S. Attorney John Lausch to oversee the FBI’s document production to various congressional committees that the agency has been stonewalling.
For Mueller, yesterday was all about regaining control of the narrative, which has gotten away from him as his “Russia Collusion” fantasy play has fallen apart.  What better way to do that than to send the FBI in to very publicly abuse a high profile witness who has been completely cooperating with his investigation for months?
Early this morning, President Trump issued the following pair of tweets:
  1. Donald J. Trump
  1. Attorney–client privilege is dead!

After yesterday’s sad events, it’s pretty hard to argue with either sentiment.
With nothing real to show for his “Russia Collusion” fantasy after almost a year, and facing the real possibility of going down in history as a failure, some are theorizing that Mueller actually wants the President to fire him in order to produce a constitutional crisis that might convince the establishment Republicans in congress to impeach Mr. Trump.
If that’s Mr. Mueller’s game plan, perhaps the time has come for President Trump to accommodate him and let the chips fall where they may.   Rosenstein needs to go as well, and if Sessions and Inspector General Michael Horowitz don’t produce the long-long-long- delayed IG report in the coming days, the President might as well go full-on Saturday Night Massacre and can them all.
Because the fact is that the DOJ and FBI are completely out of control at this point, and remain the active enemies of the rights of all Americans that they became during the Obama years, after 15 months of new governance.  That is a situation that cannot be allowed to continue.

Just another day in the Justice Department is a danger to all of us America.

That is all.
