Contemplating trends.

1. Technology.

There are three important developments that will have serious impact on our lives: a) robotics, b) virtual reality and c) AI (artificial intelligence). Each will have serious repercussions and bring in changes.

Robotics will increase automation and further reduce the jobs available without advanced education.

Virtual reality will have the greatest effect on higher education. Most universities should be shut down as modern tech displaced the myriad of unnecessary personnel miseducating our youth. Young people are getting used to using tech that makes it possible to take part in long distance learning. And just like Talk Radio destroyed the Leftist monopoly on news, long distance learning and learning via virtual reality machines will reduce the cost of education and open higher education to others than Leftists.

Artificial Intelligence is driving the introduction of self driving vehicles and machines.

2. Medicine and biotech.

The use of robotics and AI will improve operating efficiency.

Immunology will conquer cancer and viral diseases.

Look for a greater use of artificial organs.

Look for the use of biologically grown limbs and organs.

Artificial meat is already grown, but it is too expensive now.

3. International relations.

a) China vs the United States.

A big problem. China aims to displace the US as the world's biggest superpower and  financial power. If Trump becomes President, expect relations to come to a head, but Trump may negotiate a settlement that will be palatable to both sides.

b) Russia vs NATO and the US.

One of the biggest danger to world peace is the drums of war being beaten by the Left in Europe and the US. It is common of failed regimes to resort to war when their economic policies produce a failure and European Social Democrats and US Liberals have ruined our economies. At the very least, they have created conditions that threaten further progress.

Russia has three issues that need to be addressed:

1). Security. Russia has agreed to withdraw from E Europe and the Baltics, provided they would become neutral territories. Instead, they have become part of NATO. This must be reversed and NATO troops and hardware must be removed from Eastern Europe and the Baltics. The Russians are paranoid about troops and hardware stationed on their border. We would object, too, if Russia or China put troops in Mexico or Canada. If Trump is elected, he has experience of negotiating with the Russians. All sanctions against Russia must be lifted immediately.

2). Russians in the "Near Beyond." During Tsarist times and under the Communists Russia had expanded to the West to increase its security. This process shifted a sizable Russian population to countries that border Russia, the "Near Beyond." After the fall of the Soviet Union, the succeeding countries now are oppressing the Russians within their borders. They are under pressure to curtail their cultural, language and political rights. These rights must be protected, including the right of Russians to receive education in Russian. These problems are especially acute in the Ukraine and the Baltic States. A President Trump might be able to negotiate a deal but a President Hillary Clinton (ptui, I have to wash my mouth with soap) doesn't have a clew.

3). Russia's entanglement with Syria and Iran.
We must persuade Russia to cut ties with Iran.

3. Financial and economic issues.

The Left's stranglehold on the Media, Higher Education and finances has brought us to the border of currency failure and a serious economic downturn.
