The civil war unfolds.

America, the Deep State is coming after our president: What are we going to do about it?

(National SentinelCrisis: Over the weekend the cable news shows were filled with politicians Left and Right pontificating about what special counsel Robert Mueller’s latest filings on Friday regarding President Donald Trump’s former personal lawyer Michael Cohen really mean.
The pontificating went into hyperdrive following the publication of a column by former national security prosecutor Andrew McCarthy, in which he predicted that the president is about to be indicted by the Southern District of New York for “campaign finance violations.”
Impeachment! the Democrats screamed. Impeachment! As if they weren’t already considering it, without cause or reason.
McCarthy wrote:
The major takeaway from the 40-page sentencing memorandum filed by federal prosecutors Friday for Michael Cohen, President Trump’s former personal attorney, is this: The president is very likely to be indicted on a charge of violating federal campaign finance laws.
Specifically, we’re to believe that the payment of “hush money” to a couple of women whom POTUS has denied having a sexual relationship is the same as if he had written a check — illegally — to a campaign in excess of the $2,700 personal limit.
That’s a stretch of the most extreme kind, but far be it from us to dispute McCarthy’s legal analysis, which is substantial, or his opinion regarding an impending indictment, which is believable when you consider that the Mueller probe has always been about one thing, and that is ‘getting Donald Trump.’

Never mind that, as he pointed out, the Obama campaign was found to have been “guilty of violations involving nearly $2 million – an amount that dwarfs the $280,000 in Cohen’s case,” as McCarthy wrote, or that it was “quietly” handled without a prosecution but instead a $375,000 fine.
Never mind that attorney-client privilege only matters in cases not involving Donald Trump’s personal lawyers.
Never mind that non-disclosure agreements are only legally binding if you didn’t sign them with a president whose last name is Trump.
Never mind that fact that the Justice Department, whom Mueller works for, has a long-standing policy that a president cannot be indicted while in office.
Never mind that Mueller’s original mandate — find “Russian collusion” — was never really Mueller’s original mandate, else Hillary Clinton would have been charged a month after Mueller was appointed.
And speaking of that appointment, never mind that the Justice Department official who did it — Rod Rosenstein — talked of “wearing a wire” to catch POTUS Trump in some sort of buffoonish rant so that he could be removed via the 25th Amendment.
None of that matters because, as McCarthy pointed out, “it has been obvious for some time that President Trump is the principal subject” of investigations in the Manhattan U.S. attorney’s office and in Mueller’s special counsel orbit, considering that Mueller handed off the Cohen case to the SDNY in the first place.
What else is obvious by now to anyone who can rub a pair of brain cells together is that ‘the system’ — call it the Deep State if you want — is gearing up to dispose of a duly-elected president simply because they did not pre-approve of and choose him, with this message to anyone else who is considering replicating the Trump victory: “Don’t, or you, too, will be destroyed.”
Our founders painstakingly devised and implemented a form of government that was nearly perfect. It empowered people over politics; the masses over political machines.
But the system they bequeathed us depended on moral, upstanding men and women to ensure it functioned as it was designed, as well as an educated, engaged populace to serve as a check and balance on abuses of power.
We’re seeing abuse of power before our very eyes, but it’s not coming from the president of the United States. Rather, it’s being employed against him.
Mueller was never appointed to investigate true crimes because if he was, the conga line of criminals beginning with is buddy James Comey and streaming through the FBI and DoJ, leading straight to Barack Obama’s feet would have already been charged and wearing prison orange.
If Mueller and Co. are permitted to overturn the will of the people and the electoral process with an indictment that has so clearly been manufactured out of thin air, then what will the next “enemy” president be charged with (that would be VP Mike Pence, by the way)? And the next after him?
Americans cannot allow the Deep State to dispose of our duly-elected president, for if we do, he won’t be the last one. He’ll just be the first.
We don’t doubt Andrew McCarthy. We doubt that there is enough integrity left in ‘the system’ to stand in the way of a clear miscarriage of justice.
So that leaves We the People as POTUS Trump’s final line of defense. All he need do is call us forth.
Let’s hope we are up to the task, for if we are not, the Republic, truly, is lost.
