Why does the Obama regime call it ISIL instead of ISIS?

What do these acronyms refer to and what is the significance of using one or the other? ISIS stands for "Islamic State in Syria and Iraq" while ISIL stands for "Islamic State in Syria and the Levant." What is the Levant?

When you look at this map it is obvious that the term "Levant" includes the State of Israel. The Obama regime is telegraphing its friends in the Middle East that Obama does consider Israel as just part of the Levant, rather than a legitimate State.

Far fetched? Hardly. Remember the deep bow of Obama to the King of Saudi Arabia? It was an expression of obeisance.

Let us remember that it was Obama's policies that allowed Al Qaeda to merge into ISIS and it was Obama's arms shipments to Al Qaeda affiliates in Syria that allowed it to absorb other groups into ISIS. Now, Obama sabotages efforts to subdue ISIS.

That is not all the pro-Islamic efforts of the Obama regime. The regime is allowing Muslims to settle in the US while deporting Christians:

Even Republicans who should know better are falling under the Obama spell: consider the hysteria of some Republicans when considering the Donald's suggestion to halt accepting Muslims into the US. Some Democrats go further. Seattle's Mayor and some supporters are trying to introduce Sharia law principles into the buying of houses.
