The Empire Strikes Back.

Imagine yourself to be a fly on the wall as enemies of our country strategize on how to wrest power from the people to prevent Trump from carrying out his campaign promises. Their deliberations might proceed as such:

The goal proceeds at several levels which are interactive. Some of the effort (especially the early ones) may not succeed, however they will contribute to later attacks and ultimate victory. That is to say, even though the effort to prevent Trump from taking office might fail, it will serve the effort to delegitimatize him and eventually drive him from office.

1.  Immediate plans.

a) Ask for recounts in MI, WI and PA. Do the 'found votes' routine to increase Hillary votes. This ploy may not succeed in overturning the votes, but it will delay/prevent the Electoral College vote. The goal is to force the House to vote for President. That way we can claim that Trump was not legitimately elected by the voters.

b) Launch vitriolic attacks on Vladimir Putin of Russia and make claims that Trump won because of the cyber attacks on the DNC and Hillary ordered by Putin. Weak sisters of the GOP ( i.e. Senators McCain and Graham) will jump in to 'investigate'. It matters not that such intrusions can not be proven or disproven. What matters is that they will serve the effort to de-legitimize Trump's victory.

2. Later plans.

a) Sabotage Trump's plans. Republican leaders need little persuasion to claim that Trump's infrastructure plans must be balanced by cuts in welfare programs. (Like they did that with Obama!). Pay for the agitators working to create disturbances in the cities.

b) Encourage the FED to raise interest rates. This will dampen the revival of the economy.

c) Defeat Trump's efforts to reduce taxes. Make the argument that reducing taxes will increase the deficit. Deny the supply side claim that tax reduction increases revenues by greatly stimulating the economy.

d) File court efforts to stop Trump reining in the EPA. We don't have to win these cases just prevent Trump from reducing the regulatory burden via judicial delays.
 The delay is important. We can claim that Trump's efforts have failed.

e) Create the impression that Trump is guilty of a conflict of interest. This is how we might remove him from office (rely on useful idiots in the Senate (i.e. McCain and Graham).

3. Anyone who figures out what we are doing must be labeled a 'CONSPIRACY NUT' that way we do not have to answer counter arguments and the Media will ignore everything but our script.
