And the parade in Red Square.

I love parades. I guess I am influenced by the military parades I took part in. That is why I can appreciate the effort that goes into the logistics, the endless practice and the final rehearsals at night. The final product is amazing. Long, straight lines of marching people, machinery, whatever is being displayed.

The parade in Red Square this year was excellent. That is what we expect from these affairs held in Moscow.

Western Media is obsessed by the fact that West European heads of States refused to attend. These people forget that between the Premier of China, the PM of India and President Putin of Russia, the majority of mankind WAS represented. There were marching units from China, India, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Serbia, Belarus and Mongolia. Besides every military academy, most of the Russian armed forces were represented. I liked the Cossack outfit in full Cossack uniforms.

Then there was the show of hardware. Helicopters, bombers, fighter planes, Russia's new tanks and fighting vehicles, APCs and missiles. No, the US is not going to faint seeing how the Russian tanks have  automated fire controls, but the Europeans better take note, especially the Ukrainians.

The Russians button hole anyone they can to let us know that Ukraine is Russia's red line. No membership in NATO and no Ukrainization of the Russian speakers.Russia's new equipment is yet to find its way to Ukraine. But, if it crosses the boarder it will not stop until it is in Kiev.

Here is where you can view the parade:

The video will stop at one point and you have to manually advance the circle on the action line.
My favorite uniform: Cossacks.
