How about the EU?

One of the major predictions of Larry is that the EU will self-destruct. Frankly, I did not see how. Now, there are forces that are beginning to drive these countries and may escalate in the future.

The "refugees" from the Islamic world.
This is what gave the centrifugal forces credibility. The Visegrad group (Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary)  refused to import a dangerous minority.

The Paris attacks by ISIS.
Have put the Shengen visa-free travel in Europe in jeopardy. The Shengen method is one of the cornerstones of the EU.

The economic fragmentation.
First it was Greece whose voters rebelled against the 'austerity' mandated by the Germans and the French. They are now joined by the Portuguese, where voters voted in a Leftist government opposed to austerity. The question is whether the govt will double cross the voters like the Greek govt did. The Portuguese politicians taking power had mentioned defaulting on their loans.

And to the East is Russia.
Will Russia go to war with Turkey? Frankly, I don't see the Visegrad group sticking with NATO.

Finally, England may vote to leave the EU.
