More on the downing of the Russian bomber in Syria.

The more we hear about this story, the fishier it sounds. Here are the conflicting claims of the Turkish and Russian authorities:

Let's take what the Turks are saying.

1.Turkey's President claims that the Russian plane was warned he was heading toward Turkish territory;
2. When the violation was confirmed, Tayyip R. Erdogan was notified and he then ordered the plane to be shot down;
3.  The Turkish crew then armed their missiles and fired;
4. The Russian plane took no evasive action and was shot down.

What is wrong with this picture? Let's say that this map is accurate. Then the time spent by the bomber over Turkish territory is less than 17 seconds (latest estimate). And in those 17 seconds, the Turkish F-16 sent a radio message, received the order to fire, armed its missile and pressed the send button (the F-16 uses Sidewinders). And the Russian pilots flew on, completely oblivious of the Turkish plane and took neither evasive action nor dropped chaff. Believable? No!

What MAY HAVE HAPPENED. Russia had notified the Obama regime (a member of NATO as is Turkey) that their planes were going to operate in the vicinity of a NATO member. The Obama regime then notified the Turks, who set up an ambush. The plane was shot down over Syrian territory (according to Russian military sources), two pilots parachuted and one was fired upon while in the air (a war crime)  by the Turkomen militia on the ground and killed. The Russians and Syrians sent a rescue mission that recovered the second pilot, losing one Russian marine in the process.

The Russians made the following military moves:

1. Moved the missile cruiser near the shore;
2. Put in the S-400 anti aircraft batteries to protect their planes;
3. Ordered fighter escort for their bombers;
4. Wiped out the Turkomen militia near the crash site;
5. Attacked ISIS oil carriers as they headed to Turkey.
6. Severed all military communication with Turkey.

Under consideration: economic sanctions as the previous post elaborated. Putin warns Turkey not to try it again.
