Responding to Mr Greenwald (see Some soul searching. From Brexit to Trump)

Mr Greenwald's  analysis correctly identifies the technical reasons why Hillary lost. However, as a Liberal, he fails to identify the ideological flaws of the Obama/Hillary philosophy. It was these flaws in the Leftist ideology that led to the disasters during Obama's Presidency; disasters that Hillary pledged to perpetuate.

Two more aspects of Mr Greenwald's analysis need to be refuted. The first one is the identity of Donald Trump. Mr Greenwald writes:
"It goes without saying that Trump is a sociopathic con artist obsessed with personal enrichment: the opposite of a genuine warrior for the downtrodden. That’s too obvious to debate. But, just as Obama did so powerfully in 2008, he could credibly run as an enemy of the D.C. and Wall Street system that has steamrolled over so many people, while Hillary Clinton is its loyal guardian, its consummate beneficiary.
Trump vowed to destroy the system that elites love (for good reason) and the masses hate (for equally good reason), while Clinton vowed to manage it more efficiently."

What is obvious is that Mr Greenwald disapproves of Mr Trump being a businessman. What a Liberal does not understand (because he has not studied the writings of Adam Smith) is that a businessman's quest for profit is what puts people to work and provides them with a good living. Socialists, who profess to be for the workers, produce failure and misery. That is what is too obvious to debate. Barak Obama ran against Capitalism being profitable. Donald Trump ran against the Capitalists who shipped our manufacturing overseas in order to increase their profit. He also ran against the Obama ideology and policies that drive businesses overseas. The forces that motivate Obama vs the forces that motivate Trump are not the same.

Another aspect of Mr Greenwald's analysis paints a false picture of the US and Donald Trump's foreign policy. Greenwald wrote: "2. That racism, misogyny, and xenophobia are pervasive in all sectors of America is indisputable from even a casual glance at its history, both distant and recent."
We who voted for Donald Trump are neither racist, not mysogonistic nor xenophobic. In fact, we reject Islam, because it considers women inferior (sexual property), bars them from certain occupations and kills homosexuals. Our coins say "E Pluribus Unum" (Out of the many, one), but Leftists want to separate us into many groups. Multiculturalists take it as a given that if an activity is carried on by mostly whites, it is somehow tainted, that only if different races(other than whites) are put in charge can the moral deficiency be remedied. It is the Multiculturalist (Leftist) attitude about human activity that is racist in a reprehensible manner.

Nowhere is the identity of misogyny  clearer then the Media's treatment of Conservative women or the racial discrimination in the treatment of black Conservatives. That is also too obvious to debate.
