Ukraine: Debaltseve trap closes, Azov battallion counterattacks at Mariupol.
Note that the scale is wrong. 1 mi=1.6 km, so distance in miles should be numerically smaller. That is 1.6 km=1 mi.
The latest report is that the road to Debaltseve is now in the hands of the Rebs, who are advancing on the town. The Ukrainian govt claims that its troops are still fighting by the road. True, but they are also dyeing by the road. The Azov battalion meanwhile launched a counterattack from Mariupol and claims to have occupied 3 villages and is moving toward Novoazovsk. Ukrainian regional headquarters were rocketed in Artemivsk. An apartment complex was also hit.The number of Ukrainian troops in Debaltseve is estimated as 5,000.
