Monumental personnel changes: will they happen?

The first big change is for quarterback of the Oakland Raiders. Derek Carr has suffered a broken fibula in his leg and is lost for the season. The ideal replacement would be Tony Romo. He is now on the Dallas Cowboys roster drawing a few millions a year. But, it isn't the money that's the most important in this case.

Tony Romo had shown in Philadelphia that he still has it and is ready to play. But, Oakland has a game this coming weekend. For that trade to happen, discussions (i.e. serious negotiations) had to have been under way already. Could Romo do it? Sure. It would be a tough assignment, because time is very short. But if Oakland is to survive the first round, it needs to have a QB of Romo's talents and skills. It would be out of the NFC so it would not plague the Cowboys later. The big question is what Oakland would give up for him. The biggest question is time. Is there time to do it and for Romo to study some films, learn plays and fit in? It's a long shot.

What may scotch this trade is Sanches, the third quarterback for the Cowboys. If Prescott gets injured with Romo around, the team can still play well. With Sanches as QB? Not so well. In the long run, Romo might be traded next year or retire as QB. If he is not traded this week, he then can work out something in the off season.

IF THERE IS NO TRADE BY FRIDAY, THERE WON'T BE TIME, IMO.

The other potential personnel change concerns Megyn Kelly. A lot of us will not forgive her the personal attack on Trump in the now infamous debate. It's not that she questioned Trump, but she behaved as a Drive-by-Media infobabe. An ambush Interviewer belongs on CNN. There is other bad blood. Kelly was seen taking pills and FOX questioned her. It turned out she was taking a dietary supplement to lose weight. There is also her salary demands. She wants in excess of $20M/year. She is not worth that.

Keep your ears open.
