First, it was Contador, who left with a fever, now it is Cavendish leaving to concentrate on the Olympics. This year's Tour de France is a tiring affair with breakaways succeeding day after day. There are five more stages left and the last one does not count. Cavendish won 4 stages but it is not enough. Cris Froome is in the yellow and will stay that way if he avoids a crash. His team, SKY is intent on doing that.
Is the Tour over then? Not yet. Peter Sagan still has a chance, though not a good one. Let's just hope that nothing untoward happens.
