Using numbers with precious metals.

There is a historic relationship between gold and silver price. The gold/silver ratio is historically 60. This is what it looks like lately:

You see that silver price has been increasing faster than the price of gold. The traditional ratio is 60. What would the price of silver if gold went to 1,400 at a gold/silver ratio of 60? The price of silver would be 1,400/60 or $23. What would be the gold price if silver ended up at $400/oz? That number would be 400x60 or $24,000.

Will these numbers actually happen? It's hard to predict things (YB).
